The dogs are great. The people are the real issue HERE!!!!! They seem to believe they are very high and mighty, and as if they "own" the dog park themselves! Well FYI, they dont!!! There are 2 groups of people that attend this dog park. The type of people that are friendly and get along with others, which is amazing!. And the type of people they feel entitled as if they should be the only ones there, and no other people belong there. They proceed to put other dog owners down, verbaly attack them, and insult them and their dogs. I've even seen people get in arguments and fights. Come on really are they serious. This is a dog park not a boxing gym. They should really humble themselves. Sad to say but the animals are more well behaved than the their owners. Sad but facts. If you take your dogs be prepared to either have an great time with them, and be around good people. Or be ridiculed by the "male and females Karen's" with their nose up in the air. Especially the older folks. Even if your are alone minding your own business not speaking to anyone. They feel the need to come up to you and complain, belittle you, or question why you are even there. So be prepaid. Fair warning ⚠️. Stay alert and...

The dog park here is awesome. There's toys left here for dogs to play with. Always plenty of bags, and someone goes and ties them to the fence around the park, making it even more convenient to find a bag anywhere your dog poops. Lots of running space and lots of grass!

Don't bring your dog here after it rains. The rain collects in one of the corners and makes a little lake. My dad was told by one of the caretakers that that water can hold parasites and hurt the dogs. So I usually wait until that little lake is gone.

I take my dog regularly, never came home with fleas or anything, pretty clean park. My dog is really friendly, so she has never had any fighting or aggression problems with other dogs here.

I like how there's benches and tables to sit at while here. And the trees are massive, so definitely a ton of shade for those hot days.

Whenever I go, it's a pretty good mix of small and big dogs.

Large amount of running space. I take advantage of that and use this place to tire my dog out so I can...

Great dog park with friendly people, only complaint is when people bring in small dogs on leashes. I understand dogs need to be well behaved to go to a dog park but when you put large dogs next to small dog, especially when on a teather, it leads to dogs getting defensive and upset. Dogs can sense stress, and if you keep them on a leash in a dog park, they see that as you being stressed. So please, either let your dogs off the leash or take them to a small dog only park.

That being said (not the parks fault) very nice park, always have balls donated there for public use. Plenty of grass and several watering sites. Most people do a good job picking up after their dogs. It helps that the city provides bags and disposal areas on site. Two Sally port entrances for easy access. And a kids park right next door for the little ones (as long as you keep an eye...

Our first time at the Kroll dog park and my fur baby had a BLAST!! He ran and played with other dogs non stop for half an hour. He’s passed out now so we’ll definitely go back to run off some of that extra energy he has!! Nice watering station for dogs and plenty of poo bags. Nice track to walk on while watching the dogs play! UPDATE: Now that we’ve been going for a few months. Two things to add: (1) landscapers mow the lawn at close to 6:30am on Tuesday mornings. They’re in and out in about fifteen minutes. (2) the grass is nice and green and that requires water. So at times the walking path is slippery/sliddy/muddy. Just walk slowly and cautiously!

The best big dog park in Bakersfield. Little dogs too. Everyone gets along and they get to run, run, run! Sometimes I get worried because Thor is so big and high energy. He needs to be around huskies and other shepherds and pits so he can rough house. When there's babies and puppies he runs to see them which kind of scares people, but Thor is friendly. When I walk him I always here "oh my God" and people try to not be afraid, so it's nice to take him to a park where he can play and people know he's a good boy.
