Foreign objects found in bagels this morning 07/02/2025. My friend "J" got a dozen bagels for the office. We were having a good time when âNâ noticed some type of multiple tiny hairs at the bottom of the asiago bagel she was planning to eat. Looking closely hairs looked more like brush hairs since they were straight, thin, an inch long, and kind of yellowish... or thatâs what we chose to believe. We inspected the rest of bagels left, and all asiago and blueberries bagels presented multiple tiny hairs. So, we went to B&B to take the bagels back, as a regular customer would do, correct? Who wants to eat a batch of hairy bagels? Besides, we wanted to address the issue as soon as possible. When we got to the store, we asked for someone who can help us. We even walk directly to the side of the counter just to be discrete. As soon as we addressed the issue, the attendant approached us and told us that those were not hairs. I believe she said this was coming from the baking sheet liners. I was surprise she knew right away what the issue was, and when I asked if this is ok, safe to consume, or edible, she said and quote âIâm not sure about itâ. She asked us then if we want to replace those bagels. Seriously ? We said, no! We asked for a full refund. She looked at the box and since 5 bagels were missing (unfortunately 4 were eaten, mine was in my office trash can), she offered to issue a refund for only 7. Also, seeing we did not bring the cream cheese back, that was going to be deducted from the refund too. Oh boyâŚ..at this point, I was furious just for the way we were being treated. First of all, no apology was pronounced, nor an excuse, or an explanation. Second of all I was shocked it looked like they knew the source of the problem and acted so lightly, and careless. Third of all they were so rude to us; they made us feel like if we wanted to get advantage of B&B, when they were at fault 100%.
So, if the owner or a manager is reading this review you have a real problem going on at your bakery. Not only you have employees with a tremendous lack of customer service skills, common sense, and education, but you have a major issue with your baking process.
I regret not keeping a sample of these bagels and I hope this was a onetime only, but I doubt it. I truly believe we were not asking for something outrageous, and we were not rude to them. We asked for what was right. We were not returning those bagels just because we did not like them, something questionable was attached to them!
I ask the ones who are taking their time to read this, what would you have done in this situation? What would you have expected from Bagels & Blenders if you where in our shoes? Me? A simple apology would...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that I REALLY wanted to love this place. It has all the markings of of a great spot: local, small business, lots of carbs, and lots of caffeine. If I was only talking about the food, this would be a much higher starred review (in fact, it was going to make this a one star review, but the bagels and schmear are really tasty).
This place has TERRIBLE customer service. I have given them 6 opportunities because I know that sometimes it's just an off day, or there might be new staff training, or any number of reasons that deserve additional chances, but the service level that I have received seems to be the norm. 1) I always feel invisible when I walk in the store. I smile at staff or say hello and rarely get a response. 2) I always seem to be waiting at the counter for minutes before someone stops to ask if I've been helped despite the fact that there's always a surplus of workers walking around the front of the house talking to each and walking right past me... no one offers assistance. 3) When I do place my order, the order always takes forever, and I usually have to remind them of speciality requests because they always forget. (Even little things like offering a drink carrier and straws for 4 to-go drinks... Or marking which drink is which on the cup before they get mixed up).
Again, the food has always been good, but that's not enough to make up for the poor service. I should also add that I have only been in the afternoon, so perhaps the service in the morning is way better than what I have experienced...
Read moreIF I COULD GIVE THIS BUSINESS A ZERO STAR I WOULD! They have no concept of customer service. They again gave us the wrong order we called back had to wait on hold for 10 mins to get the right order ready as my husband drove back to return the food. By then they were out of the bagels (cheese bagels) we originally ordered which are more expensive so we ordered plain bagels. At this point MOST businesses would apologize for the wrong order and us having to drive back and comp the order. Oh no they were rude made me go through 3 people to ask what they can do then a manager (man who wouldnât give his name) got on the phone and said they will only give us back the difference and that they will refund and recharge us. I explained that we were already late and that they have inconvenienced us enough and couldnât believe that they were going to inconvenience us more... He hung up the phone on me. I called back and ask for his name and could hear him in the background instructing the girl who answered the phone to hang up on me. I am not the first review saying how rude the service is. They would rather inconvenience the customer more by making us wait in the phone, drive back, wait again in line to refund and recharge. Is their business doing that bad that they can not take care of their customers?? I remember the first owner of this business and he was so kind. Itâs sad that this new owner and her employees are so rude to their customers and care so little about...
