From the perspective of an African American student, I want to warn potential minorities. I did not experience a really good first year at this school. The professors are not as great as they have told you. At least for the freshman year. A couple of the professors I had, never returned papers and won't send emails. Many times they would change the syllabus and give you last minute assignments. I struggled a lot even with all the extra time I spent on all the classes and getting tutored. This disappointment I encountered has occurred to other freshman students as well. Don't be fooled by the lovely campus now. That's what drew me at first. Overall, know what you are getting yourself into. I can guarantee that you...
Read moreMy son is graduating this May and we were extremely pleased with the college. The campus is like a park! My son put a great deal into the College and got back what he put in, a great education, great experiences, a great professional network and great friends. It was a great fit for our freshly minted college grad, best wishes to those just beginning their ventures. FYI - you will get out of any college what you...
Read moreThe school has made honest effort to be less racist and take bias reports seriously. Still it feels as though horrible people still get away with a slap on the wrist and don’t learn anything. Also the school does not care about the quality of the engineering department. They have some great and caring professors there but the quality isn’t consistent throughout and you can get some really poor quality engineering education. Go elsewhere if you can for STEM majors. I had to teach myself an unacceptable amount in order to...
