I have always wanted to stop in and look around this small museum located beside Bangor Airport. Today I happened to catch them open after taking my daughter to the Maine Children's Discovery Museum in Bangor. The admission fee is very small for the amount of history housed here. We had an excellent time and spent over an hour looking around and hearing the history from the staff. There are many exhibits from world war one and two, as well as different history of aircraft, flight simulator training, and uniforms. They also have planes, engines, equipment, helicopters, and uniforms on display. I would greatly recommend people to stop in here, and also donate to the museum as they would like to aquire more air craft. Unfortunately they can not afford to do so and could use some help! If you are a fan of aircraft, and the history of aviation this is a great place to learn and appreciate history! If your on route 2 in Bangor stop by and check them out. They are open Saturday and Sunday and again a great...

There are a number of displays that are interactive to help understand how planes fly, pressurization etc.. There is a bench on a small balcony on the back of the building to view planes taking off from Bangor International Airport. Friendly staff. It is really worth the time...
