Tower Food Fair — Attraction in Barboursville

i shop at Tower Food Fair every week. If you are looking for a basic grocery store then Tower Food Fair is for you. They don't do membership cards. They have everything you expect from a basic grocery store, but nothing more. They have good prices on most things, however my husband will tell you that they are not the cheapest place to buy everything. When they have a buy 5 for $5.00 unlike let's say Kroger you have to buy all five items to get the bargain. However when I go to Food Fair I just buy what I need and don't end of buying things I want but don't need. The new Food fair was just completed within the year, so it is fairly new and clean. Love shopping locally owned markets, this place has such a huge varity of foods, snacks, and drinks. Their deli/food counter has amazing food prepared daily, anything from salisbury steak, meatloaf, chickens to mac and cheese and delicious mashed potatoes that tastes like they made it from scratch. This is also the only place I have EVER found Diet Grape Soda! They also have a classic like area near the registers with old candys from the 90's and back. The staff is also very friendly, today a guy named Kevin rang me up and he was friendly and fast. I shop here as much as possible and just recently found the perfect jars of jalapenos here. I highly recommend and I will be back like every week to stock up...

THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFIC TO THE DELI After having my heart set on one thing I had to re-route. I still wanted a meal so I decided on the Foodfair Deli. Bad choice today. When I asked about chicken strips the girl working made a face. Fried chicken, same face. They didn’t have any other main so I decided the fried chicken looked like the lesser of two evils. I asked if there was a breast. Of course not but there’s chicken cooking so if there’s a breast in there it’ll be at least 10 minutes. They did have Taco Salad available but if I wanted Taco Salad I would’ve went to a Mexican place. It looked like garbage on the steam table too. I guess it’s...
