Barnegat Light Museum & Edith Gwinn Gardens is a hidden gem that beautifully showcases local history and nature. The museum is small but packed with fascinating artifacts, including the original first-order Fresnel lens from the Barnegat Lighthouse—an amazing piece of maritime history! Read moreThis weekend we participated in the 25th Lighthouse Challenge NJ - The challenge is to visit 11 lighthouse sites, 3 lifesaving stations, and 1 museum over the two day weekend. Stop #6. What a nice find! The museum is a few blocks away from the lighthouse. We didn’t even know it existed. Worth the visit. Volunteers are very knowledgeable and super nice.
