Tea Valley — Attraction in Bastrop

I had a boba tea here and the experience was underwhelming. It was almost $10 with tip and I ended up throwing it out.

Walking in, there was a very strong odor that caught me off guard. Once I ordered, I was able to watch the drink being made with what I assume were instant powders. Didn’t think much of it because it could be a standard business thing. The employee poured the drink contents together after stirring in a shaker cup. When she poured it, it was not full enough and she appeared to ask the other person what she missed and proceeded to add hot water and a powder to it.

This melted all of the ice leaving me with a lukewarm boba tea that was grainy from the powder not dissolving enough.

The boba had a strange texture. I couldn’t tell if there may have been undercooked or overcooked.

I came here to get a nice cold drink after a painful dentist visit. I ordered a drink that came out to $7. I'm not usually one to complain but it tasted absolutely horrible and they added jelly which I did not want. I went back in and asked politely if they could make me a new drink and they agreed. When they made the new drink, they made it incorrectly as well. When I went back in again, and informed them that the drink was made wrong AGAIN, the lady got extremely rude and impatient with me telling me she can't remake my drink because of the cost of supplies. She said the best she could do was give me some boba on the side. I tried to explain to her that my drink was made incorrectly, but she kept arguing either me in a very rude tone and I eventually had to just walk out as she continued to rant. Very unprofessional. This was my first time ordering from this place. I’m only posting because I already called the restaurant to try to remedy this matter. I placed an order over the phone for 2 thai teas with brown sugar boba. I’ve order this plenty of times in my lifetime at plenty of other cafes. I know what the balls look like. What I got was clear balls. I know how funny this sounds and thinking it was an honest mistake I called and let them know I have clear balls in my drink and the lady told me they should be brown, I let her know mine were clear and she said no they are brown and I said no the ones in my drink are clear and there was a pause she said oh that’s brown sugar boba.
