Atmosphere was darling . Waitress was ok . Food was horrible I am full blooded Italian . Born and raised in Chicago neighbor to New York in which they claim that the food is New York style . It most certainly is not . The bread was excellent. The Baked ziti was disgusting 🤮. The sauce was a pukey pinkish sauce . The shrimp were so loaded down with salt 🧂 it could give someone a heart attack. I substituted items on my pizza and was charged for the ingredients anyways . I returned my order and was still charged and charged double for the shrimp. When it was brought to the attention of the owner Nick and his protégée I was told no crime was committed . I felt as if I was a criminal . The owners are not Italian they are Albanian . They altered my ticket and still were charging me for the baked Ziti that I did not eat . They claimed that the shrimp was probably salty . I suppose to hide the freshness . In other wards they weren’t fresh.and was told there’s nothing wrong with the baked ziti . In who’s opinion Nicks ? I am a customer and if I’m not satisfied with an entree and don’t want anything else then no questions asked the entree should be deleted from my bill . Apologies should be in order but nooo not here these two Men ganged up on me like lucifers army of Demons . Ready to rip me to shreds. Completely shameful . I would not recommend this place to anyone . I’m certain that people from around here think this establishment is top notch seeing as it’s the only place that serves Supposed Italian food for miles and miles and miles and miles around . On the contrary they’ve been misled and deceived into thinking that this is authentic or even good . Then the abuse I endured is completely unacceptable. I will never spend a penny there again even if I were starving to death and they were the only place left open anywhere . Shameful. Thievery abuse uncalled for . Take heed . Beware and no one wore a mask none of the employees or owner Nick . As if the pandemic is over . Well it’s not . I am so besides myself at the way I was treated . I know who they serve and it’s not God . You’ve been warned . Furthermore I worked in the restaurant business since I was 15 years old waitresses hosted bartended cashiered bussed tables worked in the front of the house back of the house managed and my family owned a restaurant. I’ve never ever heard of anyone saying to a customer that there is nothing wrong with their food that they returned and then expected them to pay for that entree , really .???!!! In my opinion they must be part of the Illuminati. They’re eyes were blackened with pure evil . Eyes are the windows to the soul . . I was never trying to get anything for free nor not pay for something I ate . I didn’t eat it . There’s no excuse for their behavior. . The proof is in they’re actions and words and...
Read moreI went here with a friend for lunch at 12:10 on a Thursday, and we both ordered the mushroom garlic linguini, which is on the lunch menu. The waitress was very friendly, however, when she brought our entrees out, the pasta was steaming like crazy and was boiling hot, but it was also dried out. I think they heated up the previous day's food in the microwave. There was hardly any flavor of garlic, no fresh herbs, and it was swimming in canola oil. I've eaten this same dish there on previous occasions and it was delicious. It was the reason why we'd decided to dine there for lunch that day. So was surprised at the poor quality this day, though I didn't complain about it. After hardly touching my food, the waitress delivered the bill and I paid it without looking at it. When she brought it back for me to fill out the tip portion is when I noticed that I hadn't been charged the lunch menu price of $8.95, I'd been charged $11.95. I figured it was probably just a mistake, and that they would fix it no problem. I go to the register to talk to my waitress about it, and the manager comes right away. I explained what happened. He said that if I was charged extra it was because I'd received a dinner portion, and then asked me if it looked as if I'd received extra food. I said that I don't know the difference in their portion sizes, but since we came during lunch on a weekday and ordered something on the lunch menu, that it should be the lower price. Then he said it was up to me to specify to the waitress whether or not I want a lunch or dinner portion when I order. I reiterated to him that it seems obvious that we want lunch under the circumstances, and not dinner. and that our waitress should've asked. He then started blaming the waitress, saying she's new, and then said that it wasn't his fault. I said I didn't care who's fault it was and wasn't looking to assign blame, but that I'd like to get the price difference back. He AGAIN said that I should've specified whether it was a dinner portion or not, and to make sure I specify in the future. At this point I was getting exasperated. I don't know if it was the look on my face, but then he pivoted, and asked me if he gave me $5, would I be happy. Honestly, I would've liked a full refund simply because of the principle behind it, but I just wanted to leave, so I agreed. I will never...
Read moreWow, just wow. Went there to eat lunch and was looking at the subs when ordering a chicken parm with the waitress. She says, "Do you want soup or salad?" I thought it came with what I ordered, so I said salad. She brings out this chicken parm dinner plate with pasta, it looked beautiful and I felt bad sending it back after she asked if I just wanted to keep it but I was looking forward to a sub and didn't want all of that pasta, plus that's not what I ordered. I had already eaten some of the salad when she brought it out. There wasn't much to the salad, and there wasn't enough dressing. The waitress comes back to the table and says I would have to pay for the salad because I had already eaten it well of course I did it came before the meal, I allowed her to go back to the kitchen and thought about that and thought why it wasn't my mistake I don't know their menu and that the waitress should have asked if I wanted the sub or the dinner plate and I didn't really like it, so I didn't know what they planned on charging me for it. Reading over some of these reviews, they said this same thing happened to them, and the charge varied between 6-12 dollars, not worth it for that side salad 1.99 maybe. So I asked her to please remove it. So here comes the manager, a big guy, to have a fight with me over a salad. He was argumentative and loud in front of all the customers telling me basically that I should have known the salad didn't come with what I ordered and he said so it's the waitresses mistake and that he would take it out of her pay and walked away. My mouth was wide open, and I looked at my mom and couldn't believe it. No wonder the waitress looked nervous. I would not want to deal with that guy either. I went to pay, and it was super awkward. The grandma was standing there eye balling me like she wanted to fight with me as I asked her what to do with the receipt I signed, she just dead stared me and I laughed and put it near the register. I love supporting family owned businesses, but not that crazy one. Good luck! I...
