5 stars for the Lost Pines Bold drip coffee this morning. Excellent roast coffee. I’d love to go back and get more but am not convinced I’ll have a pleasant experience because today was unwelcoming during my visit. 1 star for the experience inside. I am not entitled to anything in life except for what I work for. This message is for the manager because if I employ staff, I expect them to work as according to the standards of the business. If the standard of Coffee Dog is to not greet, minimize interaction with customer, and be cordial when completing transactions, then your team today did exactly that and there is no need to read further. I walked in at a quarter to 9am Sunday and made eye contact with both employees behind the counter. After eye contact, both looked away. There were a few people sitting at a table and nobody was at the counter waiting to be served. 1st flag. I should’ve walked out but gave the benefit of the doubt. I approached the counter and once again made eye contact with the young man waiting and he stared at me without a word. 2nd flag and I should’ve walked out. I wasn’t sure of what I wanted, so instead of asking I looked for the menu items. After silently reading through the menu I asked for a 20oz coffee and was promptly informed of the price, given a cup, provided my payment, and my card was given back to me. 3rd flag and I should’ve walked out. When I asked “Is that it?” the young man flipped the screen and said sign here and quickly turned away. My love for supporting small businesses kept me here but sure was awkward. The drip coffee was really good and I’d like to go back but probably not if I feel un-welcomed in the place. I can drive a little further down the road to another roastery and know it’s welcoming there. If this is the standard, then I won’t be back. My joy for coffee and small businesses can be...
Read moreHi, I sent an email via your website but have had no reply. So I’m putting this review.
I came in for coffee at 09:00 yesterday. I ordered a cranberry and orange scone and a large cappuccino with 1 shot decaf coffee and non fat milk. The server gave me the coffee and asked me if I needed the other shot, so I tried the coffee - it was scalding hot it burnt my mouth right away I had to spit it out as I couldn’t swallow it. She gave me a cup of ice and looked on not sure what to do. Once the scalding calmed down, I told her that the coffee was dangerously hot and she should take care when making coffees.
I am contacting you because I am in pain in my mouth, blisters have formed on my inner lips, my palate and tongue, and it hurts to eat or drink.
The scone was also so hot all the orange jelly had melted and dripping.
The whole experience was unpleasant, worrying and I still have an injured mouth.
There isn’t much I can do, but please please check the temperature setting on your steamer and reeducate the servers. I thought the steamer was supposed to be set to be a specific temperature.
I have been buying coffees from coffee shops several times a week for many many years. I have occasionally bought coffee from your place but in all these years I have never ever...
Read moreTLDR. They do the thing where they turn the screen for a tip and it only gives you a ridiculous tip percentage. Dirty espresso machine. Undertrained staff. I got a quiche a latte and my mom got a small coffee to fill up at the urns. My lattee tasted burnt and chalky, which means A. They didn't clean the machine correctly or B the beans are over roasted or old. I threw it out and got something from the urn. I think bastrop blend. It wasn't as bad as that latte. The lady at the register didn't know what she was doing at all. I had to say my order 6 times. The menu board had misspellings and was unreadable. Then they had the nerve to flip the screen and ask for a 20, 30, or 40% tip? And the slimy thing is they don't calculate what the total will be when you hit those. Theres no spot to say "no tip" so you have to write in a decent one. Pay your workers. Dont take it out on us, makes your buisness look so bad. I'm not gonna come back. Throwing a quiche in the microwave. The good: there's a tiny library for leave a book take a book. Cool merch and I loved seeing the old mixer in the lobby. The bathrooms were clean, and had some sanitary products for women (with some of the smallest pads I've ever seen, thought it was a band...
