Customer service at pharmacy is terrible. Dropped off prescription then got a notification later that my cough medicine was not covered by my insurance and would cost about $60. Next I was notified my meds were ready, when I got there I was waiting and waiting. As I am waiting and the lady is ringing up the meds I press the button to speak with the lady, the lady presses the button says āyes,ā I then ask for a break down of the cost of the meds after which she then, without responding, releases the talk button and goes back to what she is doing. After some time the lady then pushes the button and says my cost is $380 for 3 antibiotic prescriptions and a cough medicine. I asked if they had my insurance after which the lady, without responding again, releases the button and walks away. The lady then comes back after a short time and says they do not have my insurance on file, so then what was the earlier notification. I give the lady my insurance information and the lady takes it and walks away no response or anything.
I am then left waiting and waiting, which by this time people are complaining behind me in line. The lady then comes back and tells me my new total is $86. I say thats fine and try to hand the lady my card, however, the lady, without responding, releases the button and goes back to messing with the meds again scanning them again. As I am waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting with my card sitting there on the drawer I think to myself forget this. I then signal for the lady who then presses the talk button after which I tell her to just cancel everything and give me my prescription paperwork back, she then, without responding, releases the button and goes to speak with another co-worker. The co-worker comes back and says I would need to wait an hour, I said wait an hour for my prescription paperwork, no I need it now. This lady then, without responding, releases the talk button and walks away returning after a short time handing me my paperwork.
I then went to HEB where the lady was sweet and informed me of what was needed and how long it would take. I donāt mind waiting but the customer service was terrible at this Walgreens Pharmacy. Every time I asked a question the person would not respond and would just release the talk button. Also I had been going to this Walgreens for years and for some reason they never have my insurance on file. However, in the past a good pharmacy tech would ask me after looking at the cost if I had insurance on file with them, this tech did not do that, good thing I asked. I wonder how many people are paying full price out of pocket for meds because this pharmacy doesnāt have their...

Last night, after a very long day of medical testing and driving to multiple cities, I was supposed to pick up my prescription from a different Walgreens from this location. However, when I arrived at the original pharmacy I was informed that I did not have a prescription there.
Knowing that there are multiple Walgreens within a short distance of each other I drove to this Walgreens location in order to see if perhaps my prescription ended up at the midtown Bastrop Walgreens location.
While waiting to see if my prescription had accidentally made its way to this Walgreens location my mother, who is a transplant patient that I am a part of the care team for, called this Walgreens and spoke to the pharmacist (Kim) explaining that I was in dire need of this prescription in order to continue caring for her.
Kim and her team very quickly were able to find my prescription (which was, somehow, still at the original location where I had been told it wasn't) transfer the prescription to their establishment, and have that prescription in my hands within 20 minutes ššš
Kim and her team have no idea what a solid they did for me and my family yesterday evening but I will be grateful for a very long time to them for their exceptional care.
This Walgreens location in Bastrop has once again hit it out of the park and I think I may need to start receiving all of my prescriptions at this location.

Shout out to the Walgreens staff who were pummeled hard and never stopped moving the entire time my family and I were thereš©ŗš©ŗš©ŗ . There were a lot of frustrated customers due to the extreme backup... . I am so proud of those folks who were understanding of the situation and how much effort the folks working there were putting into getting us all served and out of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShame on the pharmacy staff. I was switching insurance and had one remaining prescription left to pick up. As it was over $700, it was extremely expensive. I was told that it was ok to wait to pick it up until I gathered the funds. The pharmacy staff put the prescription back before the agreed upon day, leaving me without a way to get my medication at an "affordable" ($700) price. The pharmacy manager called me and offered an inexplicable and changing story as to why the prescription wasn't held. Suddenly, the original pharmacy tech I spoke with had "informed me that a coupon I presented to them would render the original price invalid? And several pharmacy employees remembered this exact conversation and corroborated this event?" This never happened. I made specific arrangements to have them hold my prescription; why would I authorize this? I understand making a mistake and wanting to cover it up, but I am out $1500 due to their ineptitude.
I have been a Walgreen's customer for YEARS. I will no longer support this brand ever again. I have an autistic child and now have to choose between paying for my medication or his therapies. Thank you, Bastrop Walgreens, for putting me in...
