This place is awful. I came in for a scheduled Sunday afternoon oil change and had a coupon to get my brakes checked. I decided to take advantage of it since my rear brakes have been squeaky for over a week. So, just before getting my keys back I was told that the mechanics on shift don't know how to check rear "drum" breaks on a Honda Civic 🤦♀️. So was made an appt for 11am the next day. As annoying as that already was I was promised that I'd hop in for 20 min and they'll have someone check it out real quick just to let me know if I need new ones. The next morning, I come in and it's an entirely different staff and "this" desk guy had no notage of my appointment or my name or any info on my situation whatsoever and tells me I'll have to wait 3-4hrs to have someone look at the rear break! I explained to him the entire situation and how I was told to come back and it won't be longer than 15 min and he could care less about about anything I had to say and with a condescending tone pretty much told me that it is what it is. After reluctantly handing over my keys and sitting down for about 25 min I just couldn't hold the anger down any more and asked for my keys back and left. I specifically left an event that I was attending that morning an hour early just to honor my 11am "appointment" that all of a sudden noone knew anything about. I'm so livid and will never ever come back to this place again. The desk guy had such a smug and uncaring demeanor that it was almost insulting. Also just before I asked for my keys a girl came in whom was waiting on her car for apparently almost 4hrs and when she said that she has work at 1pm and is hoping it'll be done soon, the same smug guy says to her "I don't know what to tell you, it'll prob be another 3-4hrs." She angrily took her keys back and also said she won't be coming back ever." That Monday morning desk guy didn't even express a concern or care...
Read moreI’d give no stars if I could. Negative stars. I had my car towed there for a flat. First the manager tries to convince me I drove on the flat. I did not , it couldn’t have been driven on anyway. He says “you drove on this”. I assured him I did not. He then called me back and stated “you know what , you’re right. I took a look at it myself and it wasn’t driven on”. He told me he might be able to patch it and I asked for an oil change. He did their song and dance about better oil , dirty filter … I let them do that & I went there and paid. When I was going to leave, in the lot , my brake pedal went to the FLOOR. No brakes.
I spoke to the same guy and asked what the hell happened . He got in the car to see and said “the car was like that when it arrived” it was not. Then , he began to get arrogant and cocky stating “miss … I’m not paying for your brakes!” He spoke to me like I was running a scam on THEM. Like I was trying to get some free work. I was cursing at being accused of such a thing and he had the audacity to point out my language. I stated we should call the police . I just wanted it documented. Then the nasty manager said “well take a look at it for no charge to see what is wrong”
I get a call , they were asking for over $2800 !!!! Full brake assembly. Rotors , pads , etc. I had it towed to the shop of a mechanic who used to own a towing company. He stated there is no way this damage was created by the tow. I’ve contacted Firestone corporate and filed a complaint. I’m also filing in small claims court. Was it worth it to try and milk me for more money Jonathan ? Because I’ll see you in court. The damage they did is $500. A lot of green between 2800 and 500. Firestone Bayonne are scam artists. They are robbing customers. We’re...
Read moreHorrible experience. I took my van here to get an oil change. John called about two hours after we dropped off the vehicle and told us that he could not put the van up on the lift because he feared that he would break something. So we went to get the van. He told us he gave us free oil, which we thought was odd,but we took off anyway. When we picked up the van and drove off, immediately it was obvious there was something wrong. The van was clunking and clinking and sounded like it was going to break down right then and there. We pulled over and called John , and after an intense conversation he admitted that he put the van on the lift for two minutes. Why would he put the van on the lift after he had just told us that he shouldn’t is beyond me? Bottom line is that when he put the van on the lift he broke the struts. My van was fine before we took it to Firestone. We had driven it everywhere with no problem until we took it to them. I put in a claim and they asked me to email answers to a bunch of questions. I did so promptly, but how come I never got an email back? After several attempts emailing my supposed claims representative, I was still left hanging. So I emailed firestones insurance company, and still no answer. They pretty much just shut me out. I am a mom of four and the only one working in my household , so I still have not come up with the funds to fix my van. I just don’t know how a business can just push me off of them like I am a nobody. Why would John give me free oil if he or his workers did nothing wrong? The whole situation is not right ,and I feel like I am being played as a fool or discriminated against because I don’t have much money or knowledge...
