Mi Quisqueya — Restaurant in Bayonne

Poor service and food quality?..... not the best. We've ordered here before and the 1st time it was ok because it was in person. The other time, either the food was not hot or wrong order, it took almost an hour. We figured it was a busy night. There were other times, that the yellow rice tasted too garlicky and the pork rind (chicharón) were more greasy fat than meat. If it's not 1 thing is another. We are very disappointed, everytime we order there's something wrong. I'm not sure if they store the left over for next day's food, because I ordered a whole chicken and specifically told them not to cut it. The lady even asked me if I wanted cut or not. I told her I didn't wanted cut, I wanted a whole chicken. To my surprise I received my chicken cut. I think they didn't have a whole chicken cooked, so they sent me the chicken cut, which might have been from the previous day because it wasn't even hot. This time the order was delivered in 25 minutes. This is our last time...

I recommend that you DO NOT go here. I wanted to try this place out and it was the worst idea. They charged me $9 for white rice & pernil (no beans or cuero) and what I got was $8.50 worth of rice and $0.50 worth of meat. I also ordered rice and ribs but I was so confused when I saw her weighing the ribs. She also weighed my pernil!! I asked her how much are the ribs she said $4 which was absolutely ridiculous because it was 1 1/2 ribs. So understand that when you go there you are paying for mostly rice. You will not also believe the very little containers they’re putting your food In. My family and I was all still hungry after we ate their food. I’m upset I wasted my money, this place doesn’t even deserve one star. There was one older gentleman who was very polite and I have nothing negative to say he did try to be nice but I was really upset about how little bit of food you get for the price you pay. "I recently visited Mi Quisqueya for takeout breakfast and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The server who was serving my dish of Mangu (mashed plantains) was pinching off small portions due to the weight being off by a few ounces. To make matters worse, the server then smashed the small portions to the bottom of the plate. I found this behavior to be pity and unprofessional. Nonetheless, the mash was surrounded by water which should have given me good indication that something was off.

As a result of this experience, I had to walk out of the restaurant without my order. I was very disappointed by the poor service and lack of professionalism displayed by the server.

I cannot recommend this restaurant, sadly i was giving it another chance as the last was off as well. I hope that the restaurant management takes steps to ensure that their staff members are properly trained and provide better customer service in...
