Picked fried mystery items that I wasn't familiar with, which I love to do. 3 ENORMOUS pork dumplings or croquettes with cheese and fresh dill in the middle. They were not messing around! 95% pure meat mixture with a thin fried coating. Also got 3 very soft eggy dumplings with finely ground beef in the middle that reminded me of toad in the hole. Soft, rich and heavenly. Both very rich. Paid around $25 dollars and got 3 meals out of it. It was perfect with mustard and dill pickles. Read moreI shop here every now and then for all kinds of European products. The selection is decent and in general I can get what I need: cottage cheese/twarog, tasty sausages, no-sugar smoked fish (not sure why that's so hard to get elsewhere to be honest), sweets, hot Russian mustard, etc.
What I definitely didn't like recently, though, is the visible disregard to the customers' health. Most of the time the employees wore no face masks, wore them covering only the mouth or put them on only right before serving a customer, while walking around with their faces uncovered otherwise. The smell was rancid, and the fish was so slimy it was clearly rotting — no doubt it had been sitting out for weeks, if not longer. This is beyond unacceptable. Selling spoiled food is not just careless, it's dangerous. If you value your health, do not buy any ready-to-eat products from this place. Unless you're actively trying to get food poisoning, stay far away. This kind of negligence should be reported.
