Whimsies Boutique — Attraction in Belton

Very cute shop but customer service was not great.. when I walked in to the store I didnt get a “hello or Welcome” anything… the whole time I was walking around me and my daughter were getting looks like we didnt belong there. I just left it alone and continued to shop and then went to the check out. Im waiting in line with a handful of items (meanwhile the staff are looking at me with my hands full not offering to hold anything behind the counter etc. (I again ignore it) then its my turn to check out and the cashier just continues to carry on a conversation with someone else and completely ignore me (making me just wait at the register watching them have a conversation. Once she starts to acknowledge and began to ring in my items she tells me the price and ask “do you want any of this wrapped” I replied back with “only my candle please because I want to ensure it doesnt break” her “so you dont want anything christmas wrapped got it”

I have worked in retail for 8 years and Have been a manager for awhile as well and I can tell you if this was my store I would not allow my staff to act this way. Every client that walks in the store should feel welcomed and I did not feel that way at all.

This is a super cute store with lots of options for women and children. The music was a little loud and they were burning a strongly scented candle. It smelled nice but once I got home with the sleep sack I purchased for my daughter I noticed the scent had really gotten into the item. Even after washing twice the smell of the candle stayed in the sleep sack as well as rubbing off on her pajamas and crib sheet. Not great for sensative kiddos.
