Secret Garden At The Harbor — Attraction in Benton Harbor

It's a beautiful space for a reasonable price! My fiancé and I were ready to sign a contract and check but ended up not because the communication was so bad. The owner never responded to emails, only phone calls. Which when comparing venues was frustrating because I wanted to go back and compare details but they were only spoken verbally. We planned to tour the space one day and he did not show up. I eventually got a hold of him after a half hour (he did not call or message us). Despite this, we loved the space so decided to move forward with booking. We planned a day to meet with the owner and WE had to cancel (we were in the middle of a big move and overbooked ourselves), asking to reschedule. He agreed and we went on with our day. He never got in contact with us after that. I know that I could have reached out again but after the issues with communication before we took it as a sign to not book here. To my understanding, the owner had just moved up to owning rather than managing the bar so maybe it was just bad timing. I'm hoping it's gotten better as it is a gorgeous venue! This was in June of 2024...

Trying to pull off the surprise 50th birthday party of the century proved to be challenging until I spoke with Bryan and his team at The Secret Garden. They bent over backwards trying to help create the perfect event. Every little detail was handled on this unusually HOT July night. AC was perfect, space was decorated in plenty of time, clean up was super easy and when we started to run low on bar supplies, we were restocked within 20 minutes without even knowing it was happening. WOW, what...

We had the honor of holding the first event at this new venue. The place was amazing! Every guest that walked through the door was commenting about the wonderful space.

Parking, bathrooms, kitchen, bar, brides dressing room, coat closets and of course ... the Secret Garden is breathtaking. Even in November people were outside enjoying. I can only imagine how awesome it will be in the summer.

I would highly recommend reserving this space for any event...
