Wonderful park for walking and fishing. There's not a lot to occupy young kids if they don't like nature walks and/or fishing. There is only one playground, by the Thaden Field off I St., but you can see geese and occasionally beavers. The main park is all walking trails and lake. There is a small dog park that isn't open yet, and I think an archery range is coming soon (?). By the entrance are three food trucks, a small pavilion with 6 or 7 tables and a public restroom, and two pickleball courts. Everything else is wide open prairie and wetlands. Lake Bentonville is a very small lake (more like a big pond, not for swimming) and is stocked with fish. With a fishing license you can fish from the banks or a series of small docks around the lake. Small planes take off from the municipal airport frequently on weekends and fly right over the park. It's a great grownup park and fun to take the kids to for a...
Read moreMy family and I had such a wonderful time exploring all the park has to offer. The walking trails are beautifully maintained, and the scenic views around the lake were breathtaking. My child loved the open play areas and spotting wildlife, while my partner and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and well-placed seating areas to relax.
The variety of activities kept everyone entertained, from the unique nature play area to the modern pickleball courts. We even discovered the boardwalk through the wetlands, which felt like stepping into another world! The park's design truly blends recreation and nature seamlessly.
Osage Park also has plenty of shaded spots, clean restrooms, and friendly staff, which made our visit even better. Whether you're looking for adventure or a peaceful retreat, this place has it all. We can’t wait to come back for another...
Read moreIt’s a very nice park to take your children to if you want to rollerskate, ride on bicycles, take a nice stroll with your dog, or play. The only disadvantage I have of this park is the dog park. I have a Yorkshire terrier, and anybody with a small dog is not recommended to go there as they can get loose between the fence posts. Plus it’s not flat so if your dog goes up and over the hill, you’re gonna have to keep an eye on your dog. Also, they do not separate the small dogs and the large dogs. And the most disadvantaged part is the archery section right next to the dog section ,so I would definitely be careful that your dog don’t get shot accidentally...
