Walmart To Go — Local services in Bentonville

I stopped at this Walmart To Go yesterday to gas up my van, and decided to pop in and grab a hot dog. I have been driving past this Walmart To Go for YEARS and didn't realize how much they have in the convenience area! Because I have Walmart+, I always get my gas at Walmart now to save the 10 cents per gallon. I rarely, if ever, go into the store because I use the app to pay. However, I realized yesterday how much is available in this location! There are tons of lunch options, fresh and frozen. There are microwaves available to heat any items you need to for your lunch, a soda fountain and slushee fountain, as well as a lot of snack and convenience items. I grabbed a hotdog and was putting ketchup on it when an associate approached me and asked if I would be paying with a card today, to which I answered that I pay through the app. She then asked if I would want to try a new self check out machine. This machine is designed to tell what I am buying without having to scan a barcode, etc. So I could place my hotdog on the machine with the foil still open because of the ketchup, and it knew what it was and how much it cost. Apparently, it is being tested out and this is the first location. Super cool! I love new technology, and I love that the people at this location are so friendly and helpful! Bentonville Arkansas location I went in to have money put on my gift card so I could get gas and the gentleman who was helping me kept telling me that the card was not active. He handed me a piece of paper that said to activate this card you must scan it, so I let him know it said to scan it and he was very rude and assured me that they do not scan the cards there. I needed to go to WalMart. He basically just ignored me and went to the person behind me in the helping them. When I called the back later that night to talk to a manager I was told that everyone there knows how to scan and activate. I let the lady know that the gentleman that helped me obviously did not know how to scan and activate the card, she told me I needed to call back the next morning and talk to the store manager. When I called back to talk to the store manager it was Kelly the same guy who helped me. When I let him know that the night shift manager had assured me everyone there knew how to scan and activate cards he got snotty again. I asked for his supervisors name and number and he refused to give it to me and hung up. I am a store manager for EZ Mart and this man does NOT need to...

Very interesting c-store layout. Prepared foods/drinks grab and go concept. When you go in, there are two checkouts, coolers on the walls, and some stationary, display coolers were visible. In the back, was a large food/sandwich making area, but it was closed since it was later in the night. Walked around a lot to find everything I needed, but that was also due to just being curious and walking around the place to see what they offered.

Staff was fast and efficient - not like a WalMart. They need to work on a better open coffee, iced, tea, and drink station. If there's sandwiches, why not offer some pizza like Casey's and fried chicken like Champs Chicken.

I did not get gas, but noticed the gas pumps even looked different.
