Pick Wick Food Mart — Attraction in Berea

I have been going to the Pick Wick for deli subs, since as early as 1992. When I worked around the corner, the previous owners were always happy to see me at least once per day but sometimes 2 or 3 times for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. The current owners explained that they purchased Pick Wick in 2015. I’m so happy to report that they have continued the tradition of friendly service with a smile & making outstanding sub sandwiches in a hurry. The menu is easy to navigate with about 20 ordo choices. For example, I tried a #4 Capicola with Provolone on an Italian Sesame Bun with Lettuce, Tomato, & Mayo. Capicola is a Traditional Italian and Corsican pork cold cut made as dry-cured ham. This is my favorite sub at Pick Wick. As mentioned though, everything is always fresh & full of flavor!

Pick Wick is located around the corner from the Cleveland Browns’ Practice Facility & Administration Offices. It’s on Front Street directly across from the Berea Recreation Center. There’s plenty of parking up front or on the side, and many beautiful, scenic areas to relax & eat your meal.

Had to wait to order sandwich. Deli person not paying attention. Ordered large Philly steak sandwich. Bought drinks too night counter clerk very rude and in bad mood. One person in store not wearing mask no one said anything to him. No social distancing taking place in this store either. Took sandwich home -paid for large one and was given small one. Did not call or go back because it was 7pm and due to rudeness of clerk. Didn't feel like getting yelled at or scrutinized. Ordered several sandwiches in here before. Never happened before. Used to buy their sandwiches 20+ years ago when I worked on Depot Street, seemed like a great family owned business who cared about their customers.
