Mr. Hero — Restaurant in Berea

Let me start off by saying I'm almost 74 years old. My wife and I we're introduced to the taste of the Roman Burger in 1978. A little shop opened up next to a McDonald's on Lorain road in North Olmsted Ohio . We were die-hard McDonald's fans but that day decided to try the Roman Burger because of their advertising . She got the butter steak 7 inch sandwich and I ordered the 7in Roman Burger. We shared are sandwiches to experience the taste of each offerings. The first bite of my Roman Burger was the discovery of a taste that was really good and that I had never experienced before in a sandwich. The butter steak was also fantastic and we now had a new favorite restaurant. That was over forty-three years ago. To my experience no other restaurant has produced a sandwich with the same taste . It's the experience and taste that keeps me coming back . I live in Olmsted falls now right next to Berea. Main Street Berea has a mr. Hero. The little walk-in shop with some seating area provides me with my hero fix. I'm never disappointed and I consider it a treat for myself. When you have a favorite taste that you can't get anywhere else you just have to keep going back. It's a little pleasure that brings me Joy. That's all I'm going to...

I feel taken advantage of. This is the 2nd time in a row being over charged, that we know of. It won’t happen again. We try to support locally owned businesses but will keep in mind those that take advantage. The owners are a local family. We stopped going to this location years ago bc of something else we didn’t like. We decided to try again because it is close to home. Mr. Hero is the only fast food chain we eat. One large sandwich & one large mushroom we were charged 35.45! No drinks. My husband witnessed the owner fast talking the next guy when taking his order. The lady kept saying ok you want large this extra this and a large that. That guy told her to slow down. My husband and the guy gave each other a look bc it felt shady. My hubs didn’t realize until he got home that we were charged for extra meat, extra cheese, double charged for ranch and cheese sauce. That’s when it hit him he was fast talked, too. Pay attention!! Once is a mistake, twice...

This is very disappointing to have to write this review. My husband and I have been coming in this, Mr. Heroes, for about 10 years. We only go maybe twice a year. We went on Saturday. I ordered a large chicken bacon ranch. My husband ordered, the Philly cheesecakes Deluxe, we didn't order fries or anything, because usually when we got a sandwich , especially a large we would eat half that night and then have the other half for the next day. Well, we ate both sandwiches that night. Because they were so small. It was $32, and I was so disappointed. We always loved going to that one. Because the sandwiches were a good size. The place was clean. Ray and his wife were great. They had, you know, just a positive happy vibe in there, needless to say, ray and his wife weren't there. It was another couple working. The place was clean and they were very friendly. But I did not pay $32 to have to make us something to eat...
