We recently visited the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio and was thoroughly impressed! The stunning Reynolds Mansion provides a beautiful backdrop for the diverse and captivating exhibitions. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share insights. The center's commitment to showcasing Ohio artists and artisans is truly inspiring.

Read moreJuly 2024 update: We loved the lower level exhibit of Shag (Josh Agle), a painter, designer and illustrator.
His artwork has a ’60s style that goes with the Mod exhibition upstairs.
I especially enjoyed the video, where Shag demonstrates how he creates art using Corel software, talks about his influences and shows the silkscreen production process.

The art is well presented, the building is well preserved and the docent on our recent visit, Martha, had a ton of interesting stories to tell about the history of the Reese-Peters mansion and the people who lived there. This exhibit would be an estranged cost at COSI or any other museum, but is free here. The place had plenty of folks meandering while we were there, but the layout was perfect.
Easily, worth the drive!
There is handicapped parking in the alley behind the museum and a ramp for those in a wheelchair or with mobility issues. They also have a working elevator to all floors.
