I recently had the pleasure of dining at Provisions Bakery & Deli in Lancaster, Ohio, and I was thoroughly impressed. The sandwich and atmosphere were great, the menu was fantastic, and the service was friendly.
I ordered the Zesty Italian sandwich, and it was delicious. The ham, salami, and pepperoni were all high-quality and flavorful, and the provolone cheese was melted perfectly. The banana peppers, lettuce, tomato, and red onion added a nice crunch and freshness to the sandwich. The French bread was also grilled to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior.
The atmosphere at Provisions is warm and inviting, with a comfortable dining area and friendly staff. Our server was very attentive and helpful, and she made sure we had everything we needed.
The menu at Provisions is extensive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. In addition to the sandwiches, they also offer salads, desserts, and a variety of other dishes. There is something for everyone at Provisions.
The only downside to Provisions is that it can be a bit on the pricey side. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth it.
Overall, I highly recommend Provisions Bakery & Deli to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a great dining experience.
Specific mention of the Zesty Italian sandwich:
I highly recommend the Zesty Italian sandwich to anyone who loves a classic Italian sub. The combination of meats, cheeses, and vegetables is perfect, and the grilled French bread adds a nice touch. The sandwich is also quite large, so it's definitely worth the price.

I placed an order for a breakfast sandwich around 10:30am- there were only a handful of other people in the restaurant with no line. I placed an order for a sandwich, danish, and a tea latte. I waited and received the danish first- delish. Second I received my drink-except it was not what I ordered. It was just a hot tea. I went back to the barista and requested a new one be made. The second drink I received was also not a tea latte.. somehow the drink was steamed milk, a tea bag AND espresso… this item must not be ordered often/the people behind the counter did not know how to make it and I didn’t have the heart to request a third drink and proceeded to throw it away. I do not drink coffee. Lastly, I received a sandwich- except it was not what I ordered. I took the sandwich back to the counter and had to wait a considerable time before being helped. After finally being helped- I waited again for a replacement sandwich- which turned out to be quite good! But the journey to get there, was rough. It seems that others have had a great experience and I hope that my visit today was...
Read moreCombination coffee house and deli, Provisions does not disappoint. You are greeted with a very large open space with big windows letting a lot of light in. Even with the black and white theme, the place is very light and a reasonable amount of seating. A wall of wine to your left as you come in, merch and beers along the right, ordering and some items you can just pickup in front of you, and the coffee bar with a decent selection of baked goods wraps around the food prep area. Seating is varied with some higher seats along a bar along the right-hand wall.
We enjoyed our standard espresso and cappuccino respectively and grabbed a delicious pecan roll to go with it. I would say the only downside is that the heating was a little overdone in the microwave (I almost would have had it cold), but otherwise delicious. even though most of the tables were full, there was enough of a turn-over that we were able to grab a seat and sit and enjoy ourselves. I noted that some of the patrons took full advantage of the liquor license and were having fresh mimosas.
If you are passing through the area, this is a place to stop (at least...
