Lots of good stuff whether you’re looking for tapes, vinyl or CDs. There’s a huge selection of both vinyl and CDs, not so much cassettes. Everytime I come here I leave with something - whether I had something in mind or not, and the woman running the place is extremely kind. It should be noted that you shouldn’t come here with the expectation of paying $2 for a cd, that isn’t the case. They range and certainly have their share of lower cost CDs but in general they’re roughly the same price as new (they also look brand new, may be put into brand new jewel cases, and are cared for like new etc) Could you find something new on the internet cheaper? Read moreThis store is way more than just compact discs. They have a large selection of vinyl and even some instruments and accessories. They also have a large incense selection for a great price. While I go there to stock up on my vinyl, I also take advantage of the incense. I find it very calming and a great compliment to mellowing out with my tunes. The masking tape isn't a must, but it makes it much easier to read the Sharpie. And if you only use a Sharpie and you have a decent amount of incense in the bag, the Sharpie can begin to fade due to handling. But whatever drives you to check out this store, you will leave satisfied because, since it is so diverse, the odds are high you will leave with something that...
Read moreThe Compact Disc Center is the definition of cozy and humble. Tucked away near Liberty High, it’s a time machine to simpler days when music discovery was an adventure, not an algorithm. Independently owned and unchanged in the best ways, it has this warm, welcoming vibe that feels more like visiting an old friend than a shop.
The used and new sections are carefully curated treasures, and their growing vinyl collection is proof that they’re quietly keeping the love for music alive. It’s a must-visit, not just for the selection but for the experience. A true local landmark that doesn’t need to shout to...
