It was a sister's night out for us, attending a 'Broadway in Birmingham ' enactment of 'To Kill a Mockingbird ' starring John Boy himself, Mr. Richard Thomas! It was AWESOME! Of course, it being a full house, there were a few distractions during the show with late arrivals and late return seating after the intermission, a pet peeve of mine. But overall, it was a great show as well as a memorable experience. Anytime spent with family is memorable!

Whoever designed this seating map shouldn’t be allowed to design things. They cram you in like sardines and don’t care if you have a crappy view or not. The SCAM of making you rent a locker for $20 for your purse is robbery and no one else does this. Normally they just look inside your bag. They also KEEP your key, so God knows who is going through your property. Coming here is never as nice as it should be. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

The BJCC concert hall in Birmingham was a great space for an event. Went to see Les Miserables on a whim and sat in back of the Orchestra section but was still a good view. Enter the theater based on the portal number. Lots of vendors selling candy and snacks and alcohol but be ready to pay for it. Seats were comfortable and was easy in and easy out.

If i could do 0 stars i would. This place has the absolute WORST staff I've ever encountered at a venue. A day that should have been happiness bc of my son's graduation wasn't. I've NEVER experienced the racism that my family and I did today. We had 12 people in our group. We went and found our place and put our booklets down, 8 of us sat down the rest of us went to the restroom. I was gone a couple of minutes when I got a phone call saying a worker placed 2 people in our seats and accused us of saving seats. She was a light skinned old black with short curly black hair (she refused to give her name and turned her badge). I went and got security and another light skinned lady with a short black bob cut from the entrance door called herself going to settle the issue. Well she made it worst. She had the NERVE to accuse me of being a liar bc my sister and nephew took more than 4 minutes in the bathroom. Little did she know the staff outside the door forced them to the balcony and refused to let them come to their seats. Then came along a white woman that I don't remember her name just know she had something wrong with her eye with more sheriff's to "solve" the problem but didn't. She was extremely rude also. All 3 talked to me and treated me like I was dirt. As soon as they still refused to make those people move i showed them how people in front of us were saving seats along with oh about 5 other families. The white woman said I don't care get away from me and go enjoy your graduate before I put you out. We were the ONLY white people in this whole area and were the ONLY ones the staff told people to move our booklets and sit in our seats. For the first 20 minutes people were constantly walking in sitting down with their families that "saved" their seats didn't have anything said to them. My problem never got resolved i was just threatened by multiple staff members. After the ceremony started and my son walked the stage his dad walked out bc of people around him harassing my family. As he was walking out the rude curly headed black lady had the nerve to be standing outside the doors running her mouth about me to another employee. She didn't know that he was part of our family bc he is black. She was telling her coworker that it took all she could to not snap on me bc her boss was around. She didn't have a problem doing it until I went and got someone. That woman needs to be fired. She should never work with the public. If she would have waited 5 minutes or less she would have saw we weren't lying. Unfortunately I had to leave my sister and run back in then try to find security all while my sister was being refused to get back to her seat and told go to the balcony. I will be checking and seeing what can be done for our complete and utter embarrassment and racism we encountered. I will NEVER spend another dollar at this horrible place and will make sure to let everyone i know to stay away. This post...

Absolutely loved the show. My problem was the venue itself. I bought tickets for the Nutcracker for my disabled mother for her birthday/Christmas. I would have preferred to just buy them online but there were no labels to show if any seats were handicap accessible, she is wheelchair bound and cannot walk. So I had to call to purchase tickets, where I was charged a "convenience fee" but had the handicap accessible seats been labeled I would have not called. Then when leaving the show, we had to wait for people to move so she could get a picture with the nutcracker because of the difficulty of pushing the wheelchair through a crowd of people. So when the people cleared we started to get her a picture and one of the security guards started to tell us we couldn't we needed to leave. This was supposed to be a birthday present for my mom... Luckily she still enjoyed herself even though the venue made...

My husband and I have held Birmingham Broadway tickets for over 20 years. The drink prices have gone out of sight. Today I went to get a glass of wine and the girl told me it would be $12.00, so I told her no I wasn’t going to pay that. She then told me that since the prices have not been updated in the system she could give me a glass for $10.00, the she proceeded to tell me that was their normal price. I told her that the usual price was $8.00. I then went to an upstairs bar and questioned the price from that bar tender and he said the price was $9.00. I want people to be aware that some of the bar tenders are obviously charging what they want to get better tips. Prices are way too high considering the quality of wine you are selling. We love the theatre and the shows that come through but the concessions have...
