Five Points West Regional Branch Library — Attraction in Birmingham

This library is very convenient for people in this area. It is also located along a bus route and sits near both a police precinct and shopping mall. While I do understand the need to keep the facility clean and to keep out loiterers; I don't get how some of the people here have a preconceived notion about people who come into the library. I was using the restroom before I came to use the computer, and a lady came in behind me; like she was putting a time limit on how long I could use the facilities. I think that this was very rude and discourteous as I am a patron of most of the libraries in this area. The sad part about it is that this lady didn't even appear to be the janitor/custodian but, one of the ladies that sit behind the desk. I guess if i drove up in a BMW or Mercedes and got out wearing a dress and high heels I wouldn't have gotten that treatment.
