It had been a while since I visited this store or to be true, any music store. We buy stuff online with the convenience of the internet, pre-ripped music for instant gratification and a record 2 days later in the mail. Why getting up wasting gas and having to talk to people if we can eliminate all social interactions and slowly drift onto the autism spectrum? I truly enjoyed flipping through records and inspecting stacks of CDs while keeping a conversation going about local Blues and Jazz musicians, 1st Friday and 2nd Wednesday jam sessions, wondering about Bo Berry recordings, and finally making the connection that we both attended Jock Webb and Clarence Davis concert at The Jaybird a few weeks back. So the googler led me across town to the fine and friendly folks at Renaissance Records. S selection that is 2nd to none with fair prices. Lots of new reissues, a stash of record store day albums and all the used LPs and 45s you could ever want.
