Parallax Games — Attraction in Bismarck

If you are a newer player to Card and Board games then do NOT visit this store during the morning shift. The employee for the morning shift does NOT like new people. He is very condescending with a "Buy something or leave" attitude. When you do want to buy something then do NOT ask for recommendations, advice, or clarification on card effects or you will visibly upset him. If you dare bother him with your new question then do NOT expect a simple or helpful answer about anything you ask and prepare to be spoken to like you're either an idiot or a child. I was honestly under the impression that this man hated his job but I've only ever seen him treat people like this if they are new to the store. He only likes to deal with the regulars who already know what they want and don't bother him with trivial questions.

The Evening shift guys are the ones you want to deal with. Those guys are awesome. They're happy to assist new players like you with almost anything. They have amazing recommendations and even help you set up sweet combos for your deck building needs. The evening shift guys are the only reason I even return to this store and only after 5pm. Leaving my review at 1 Star because this situation forces me to make significant changes to my daily life in order to visit in the evening hours when the morning hours would be far easier for me. I simply refuse to deal with the morning employee and see the way he treats customers. It's gross and makes me so uncomfortable...

You couldn't ask for a more welcoming environment for those getting into tabletop or card games. Between the friendly staff and the friendly atmosphere they encourage it's easy to just meet and learn from anybody there. Due to the small volume ordering can be a little tricky, but the staff always goes out of their way to not only try and get in whatever you want, but at a great price too! Easily my go-to place for anything 40k and Pokemon related, both of which I'm hoping they continue to expand on...

Last time I visited, they were still at their old location which was much smaller. Despite that, they managed to pack the place with as much content as possible.

Their new location is even better than the old store -- now they have ample space to keep all their stuff, plus they have all kinds of new stuff in stock that wasn't there last time.

Definitely stop in if you're into D&D, MTG, or similar nerdy content. They're sure to have something you'll be...
