Such a beautiful and historical place- a smaller venue for public performances, such as hypnotists, comedians, plays, and musical acts. The parking sucks, as it does for all places downtown- but there is a parking ramp right across the street, and the rate seemed very reasonable to me. It also (bonus) wasn't a super dark, creepy parking ramp with garbage and homeless people all strewn about- I've encountered a few of those, and that's actually been a reason to not go back to a perfectly good venue, unfortunately. We went to the Belle (as we locals refer to it--- side note, pronunciation is 'bĕl māy•hoos') to see a comedian - SteveO, one of the infamous JackAss crew members. The staff at the venue were very nice and helpful, and the venue itself was beautiful and clean (as always). There is truly not a 'bad seat' in the house. IN CONCLUSION: I would recommend taking in a show or presentation at the Belle. It is such a neat building, architechturally, and a piece of the history of Bismarck. There are two more sections of balcony seating behind us and I could image the view would be great. I bought the tickets two weeks before the performance of Bismarck-Mandan Symphony's American Pie concert. I think that might have been just a tad late. Still, great selection. Looking forward to...
