8/26 Update: Since my previous review, I have made it my objective to not support this dispensary. By doing so, I have been fortunate enough to visit other dispensaries in the area that actually provide premium brands as well as exemplary service. Today was a rare time that I was enticed to return to Rise to see if an old and previously reliable favorite (Animal Face) had returned to form. As I should have expected, the 3.5 that I purchased was absolute dirt. It was not mature, not thoroughly dried, and broke up into practically nothing. I will be lucky to get 2 joints out of this. I want to issue a stark warning to anyone reading this review: Rhythm brand is a bottom-tier weed brand masquerading as a producer of “premium” cannabis. They produce a variety of mediocre and childishly named strains and, at any given time, you are liable to fall victim to their packaging issues (resulting in dry weed), being shorted on the quantity of weed purchased, or other quality control issues like the one I was subjected to today. If Animal Face, which is one of their “premier” strains, continues to fall victim to these quality control issues, it is a clear indictment of the brand, as a whole. There is simply no reason for a brand with a significant presence in the market to produce product that is this mediocre. Rise continues to allow it to happen, therefore they are guilty by association. Rhythm brand, as well as this dispensary, shall never get another cent from me. Readers, you’ve been warned.
I have grown very tired of this location (and Rhythm brand, specifically) masquerading 3.2-3.3 grams worth of product as 3.5 grams. Between being regularly shorted on product and Rhythm’s flawed packaging and sealing process (the seal is often in the lid and not secured around the mouth of the jar, resulting in dry product), it truly makes me wonder if this place cares or is actually aware of the deception and substandard product and sells in anyway. Your “sales” are ultimately meaningless if you’re frequently providing less product than I should be receiving, anyway. If I am paying a premium price, I except a premium and consistent product commensurate with that price. I am genuinely requesting that you stop insulting the intelligence of your consumers. Your deception and obvious lack of concern is growing...
Read moreIntroduction: This review addresses my experiences with Rise, a cannabis dispensary located in Bloomfield, NJ, focusing on customer service, software reliability, and product quality.
Customer Service: The customer service at Rise often feels neglectful and impersonal. Despite being a frequent customer, my interactions have felt transactional and lacking in care or attention to detail.
Software and Efficiency: On numerous occasions, I’ve encountered issues with their software system. The necessity to manually write orders in this era of advanced technology and AI-driven automation seems inefficient and outdated, especially in the multi-billion dollar cannabis industry.
Staff Training and Order Accuracy: I have concerns about the staff training at Rise. Mistakes in order fulfillment have been a recurring problem, leading to missing items in my orders. As a regular customer, these repeated errors are not only inconvenient but also erode my trust in their operational competence.
Product Quality: My dissatisfaction extends to the product quality as well. I’ve found the quality of the flower products to be subpar, prompting me to source my products elsewhere. This is a significant drawback for a dispensary that should pride itself on the quality of its cannabis.
Conclusion: In conclusion, while Rise operates in a burgeoning and competitive industry, the lack of attention to customer service, software efficiency, and product quality significantly detracts from the customer experience. I hope to see improvements in these areas, as they are crucial for customer satisfaction and business success in the...
Read moreEdit: 5/17: As indicated in their reply to my review, ownership was willing to rectify this situation. They contacted me promptly and offered me a complimentary eighth for this inconvenience. I opted to use my complimentary purchase on another eighth of Brownie Scout because I enjoyed the strain despite being shorted on my previous purchase. I put my reluctance to the side only to see that this eighth was again shy of 3.5 grams. You can't make this stuff up. Rise alleges that they are not a part of the packaging process, and I believe that. However, there are clearly some deficiencies in Rhythm's packaging process. I would continue to urge people to stay away from the Rhythm brand and Rise locations in general. You are being charged premium prices for products that are packaged deceptively and inaccurately. Disappointed is an understatement, but I should have expected this after my initial purchase.
Original review: I purchased an eighth of Rhythm’s Brownie Scout this past Wednesday as a part of an alleged “discount” only to get home and see that the product was well shy of 3.5 grams. I typically patronize the Paterson location solely for edibles and typically do not purchase weed from dispensaries. This adds to a variety of reasons why. This is an extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy business and this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I will not be returning and urge others to do the same. This practice has been reported in other reviews, so this is not an isolated incident....
