O'Neil Park — Attraction in Bloomington

Large park with ample space and basic facilities. Their is playground equipment near the ball fields for little ones that can't sit still. The equipment looks to be newer within the last few years. The ball field is still in decent shape but in places starting to show aging. Still the green space is pleasant and the area appears to be safe. Very sad to know there's NOT going to be a swimming pool there any more. I dont know who the city talked to when they decided to put in a water splash area instead of the pool. I was under the idea that the pool was over 30 years PAST IT'S S PRIME. And the city has been collecting money from the swim passes every year for over 30 yrs. Terrible skate park! I see pictures of the old one and keep wondering why they’d change it. Parks uneven and has dips in the concrete next to the one rail they have.
