We had our wedding at Switchyard Park, and it was better than we could have ever imagined. I’m not underselling it in the slightest when I say it was the best day of both of our lives! Hsiung's and Glen's communication and flexibility from the early days of planning, leading up to wedding was fantastic. They were super helpful, clearly communicated everything we needed to know, and checked-in with us throughout everything.
Additionally, the staff day-of went above and beyond helping us set up and tear down, always offering a helping hand, and problem solving with us! Everything went so smoothly because of their help.
We used the main stage and the pavilion for our ceremony and reception, respectively, and both spaces were stunning! We were able to fit 140 people comfortably with room to dance, eat, etc. We received so many compliments on our entire event. We do not have enough nice things to say about Switchyard Park, and we will forever be recommending people use it for their future...

Not only is this one of Bloomington’s premiere places for recreation, their onsite event center provides the community a perfect multi-functional space for both festivals and expositions as well as private events such as weddings, banquets and balls. This same space also offers versatility to the outdoor park, with bay doors that open to allow visitors to travel freely between the pavilion and outside patio and performance area.
Parking is conveniently located next to the event pavilion, which is also heated and cooled and provides a service kitchen and bathrooms. Tables and chair are also provided for events.

Also appreciate how clean it is kept a d the bathroom facilities. Unfortunately, what truly dampens the experience for my family is how many blind spots there are where kids can disappear and not be seen on playground equipment, and also how dangerous the slides are. They cause abrasions, and are way too fast sliding on abrasive limestone. I have seen many children get hurt on the slides, my children have gotten hurt in the past and also torn clothing due to the abrasiveness, and causes minor burns.
