Mill creek park police are ignorant. I was driving to work I was coming down the hill on Canfield road I caught a flat tire this was about 11:07pm I came to a slow stop I put my hazard lights on and I didn’t want to miss work or get my car towed so I pulled in the park and was going to leave my car there with a note that everyone normally does the mill creek police pulled up and I explained that I had a flat tire I was on my way to work called my boss whom the guy because he is not an officer heard me speaking to. At first he said he was going to call his supervisor and see if I could park there long enough for me to go to work for the night and first thing in the morning call towing. The man said the road would be closed and that if I didn’t have it towed in a few minutes that they would have to tow my car at this point I’m upset so I get on the phone call AAA they at 11:44 he comes back to the car at 11:47 and asked if I had tow on the phone I said I was waiting for them now so then he ask me if there is drugs In the car before he proceeds to tow it I gave him a look of disgust there were car seats in the back how dare you try to criminate me when clearly you heard me call my boss you see the car seats in the back and you see I’m trying to get to work and handle this in the morning like anyone else who got stranded on the road would I’ve seen cars that are on the side of the highway and road for days so I get picked up from work and i have my sister go down the road that the officer said would be closed it...
Read moreStunning is the word here. I’ve not been to another Metropark like this one. I heard that it is the second largest of its kind (just behind Central Park in NYC) but nothing prepared me for the absolute majesty of this place. I walked for over 6 hours and only hit two of the areas! I walked the Lantermans Mill and covered bridge area which is about central to the long stretch of parks along the river and lakes, and also spent several hours in the north end of the park at Fellows Riverside Garden and nature center around Glacier Lake. I ate lunch at the cafe, which was delicious and offers an unobstructed vista view of the lake. You can rent a two-person paddle boat, multiple group cabins, and more. I can see a huge variety of events at this park especially weddings. I will be planning weekends here...
Read moreMill Creek is an amazing park area for people young and old. With its lush plant life, fish filled lakes, and various twisting and turning forest paths, this metro area park is full of surprising sights. Its got an awesome walk way with a biking trail and it allows dogs.
Personally, I wish people would stop fishing in the lakes and feeding the damn fish. My last visit was slightly creepy due to the fish watching us just as much as we were watching them. There are signs saying not to do those things, the township even raised the fees foe doing so to about $500 per violation. Oh well, why let people ruin an otherwise...
