a group of 5 ordered separately. one ordered zucchini appetizer another 3 dishes of peppers and oil, and the rest drinks. the server brought the 3 dishes of peppers and oil and a basket of rolls which contained 5 small rolls. as we were ordering our entrees the one who ordered the peppers and oil asked the server for more rolls since there were 5 rolls in the basket and 5 of us at the table. the server informed us that we only got 1 roll per person and additional rolls would be a $1 for each roll. we asked why we were not told this before we ordered 3 dishes of peppers. the end result was that we left and did not order entrees which would have been $150 worth of food. i've been coming here for 30 years and always had great food and service. the manager poorly handled the situation. we went to stonebridge where we ordered peppers and oil and received unlimited bread. their meals were very good.
In response to my review: You said I left over a dollar? Incorrect! There were 5 of us eating and we ordered 3 bowls of peppers in oil first. We each got 1 roll=total of 5 rolls. The point is that we would not have ordered 3 bowls of peppers had we known that each of us would only get 1 roll per person. If each of us 5 would have eaten 2 rolls each= 10 rolls= $10.00 for the rolls. So you lost $250-$300 table check over rolls? But the story gets better! A family member and his wife went to your restaurant last week aware of our situation. They received 1 roll each=2 rolls. Then they asked the server if they could have more rolls and they received 2 more rolls. Never did the server mention that they would be charged $2 more. Hint: Charge 50 cents more for the peppers in oil to make up your roll...
Read moreI ate here once. The food was so-so.
The service was so horrifically insulting that I feel compelled to write this review. (I let over a year go by before writing this, and I'm still heated, so I feel justified in my reaction to what happened. It was really that bad.)
I went to Blue Wolf and ate a meal with my mother and girlfriend. We gave our server a generous tip (25%). We put it in the server's check holder, and I handed it directly to her.
Five minutes later, I was standing in All American Cards & Comics, which, back then, was just a few doors down from Blue Wolf.
All of a sudden, our server and her manager (a very tall, physically intimidating man) were standing behind us. They shouted, "YOU DIDN'T PAY!!! You walked out without paying the check!"
I calmly explained that I did pay, and she said she didn't have the money.
We told her to check her apron, which she did, and surprise! She found our check holder with the money inside.
She and her manager turned around and left without apologizing.
Back then, I did frequent business with All American (when they were still in that plaza). The Blue Wolf staff made us look like thieves and fools in front of everyone in that store. Two All American employees and several regular customers witnessed what happened.
When I got home, I called the Blue Wolf and asked to file a complaint. The manager that accused us answered the phone and assured me that the matter would be handled, which basically meant that there were no repercussions for anyone working there.
We should have taken our tip back, but I was so stunned at the time -- and so completely mortified -- that I wanted those people out of my life forever.
Please don't support Blue...
Read moreI have been coming here for over 10 years and today I was not impressed. I can easily make better vodka and Alfredo sauce. It didn't have much flavor. I also said nicely I'd like my steak medium rare and it looked raw inside. It was the worst $34 dollar steak I have ever had. I could have easily went to a butcher and picked out my own $30 steak and cooked it to perfection and with better seasoning...I can easily grill a perfect steak to be medium rare or rare on the inside and with a nice crust on the outside. Everything was so bland like hospital food. Im so disappointed the last few times here. It is as if each passing year they get a worse chef, more careless staff and don't put any love or seasonings into anything. I even make the world best apple crisp! This one if say is a 3.8/5. The Alfredo sauce was worst than Olive Garden...the vodka sauce was bland. The chicken alouette was the only atleast 4/5 meal with more flavoring. The parsley potatoes were also meh. I make the best parmeasean baked red skin poatoes with an amazing herb butter sauce. Just not impressed anymore. The only decent thing was the lady at the counter I over tipped. Lol. Thanks for trying girl. Will not return unless I'm just buying salad. The only consistent thing there still is on the menu or the chicken dish I mentioned above. It is so hard to find good restaurants anymore. The pasta and meatballs also weren't terrible but just okay. The garlic bread and rolls are good though!
Also if you look at pictures or the steak it doesn't look grilled and tasted like wasn't cooked and microwaved. I could cry but not worth it just expressing the disappointment for me...
