Friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Perfect for leagues, birthday parties, Girl Scout events (or Boy Scout events I would think, but I haven't used them for that as I don't have a boy scout in my family) or just drop in bowling. I have been bowling in my current league here for 19 years. Our league is celebrating its 50th season this year, all bowled at Boonton Lanes and now includes three generations of my family (my mom (has been in the league for 49 year), my daughter (joined for the first time this year now that she is eligible), and I). This would not have been possible without the dedication of the staff at Boonton Lanes and the quality bowling experience they give.

The prices are reasonable and it's always fun to bowl with your friends. I must say that some of the equipment is outdated, such as the balls and scoring systems, but based on the popularity of the place, it appears that most people do not find it to be a problem. The lanes and pins are very new. There are numerous lanes, bathrooms, a restaurant, bar, and locker room. They do birthday parties upon request, and have a special discount for parties too. If you're looking for something to do with your friends, this is a good place to go.

The first time I go... The place looks old, there is a space for parties, a bar to order drinks and also an area where you can buy food such as pizza and hamburgers. Personally, I think the place was not very hygienic, the tables and chairs were dirty, the facilities in general, the shoes were very old and didn't feel clean at all. I had fun but it was an uncomfortable experience in some ways. the good: they had hand sanitizing in sight and big parking.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with 7 friends, bowing 6 games, and buying about 7 appetizers among us.

The good: Bowling was super efficient. Had one of our lanes get stuck a few times, but it was quickly resolved. Also, price was very reasonable. Not crowded at all.

The Nostalgic: Place hasn’t been updated in quite some time. But that’s a good thing in my opinion, makes you reminisce of the 90’s.

The Bad: The blond woman at the front desk was very rude. Strange to work as the face of an entertainment business and give an attitude to the customers.

The Redeeming: Shout out to David for being awesome! He was so nice and clarified the policy for us and then checked in on our group. He even offered to take a picture of us.

Despite the unfortunate interaction, would...

The girl at the counter working at night on January 1st needs to be trained or fired. She has absolutely 0 customer service skills and doesn't know how to talk to customers that are untimately keeping her employed.

We had 6 people willing to play and order food, but because she was unbelievably nasty to me for no reason I immediately took my group somewhere else that's actually worth our time and money.

My suggestion to the Actual owner: Invest in training your employees of their customer service skills or only hire people who don't have serious attitude problems before you lose more of your business.. or not, doesn't matter to me. We certainly won't be coming back to this...
