If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the most disorganized business I have ever seen in my entire life. We are aware that they always mess up our order, but since they are the closest and seem to be the only breakfast place that delivers (through grub hub) we order from them from time to time when we are in dire need. Today they got my order wrong so I called them up and let them know. The lady who answered my call at first didnât even bother answering back just told me to hold up and passed me over to someone else. This lady asked me what she wanted me to do and I told her I would like a new bagel. And she then tell me delivery guy is gone or if I want a refund. I told her I donât mind waiting. Then she tells me rudely you call him, we donât have his number. How am I suppose to have his number? I told her to forget it Iâll take a refund. She then tells me she canât refund me. What in the world! You give me options just to take them away. I had to go through grub hub to get a refund because these people are incapable of running their own business. Please save yourself the hassle and never order from this place theyâll just mess up your order and wonât care about fixing their mistakes. Their bagels and food are bland anyways. I usually prefer giving my money to small run business but never again...
Read moreFor those of you who live in, near, around or find yourself passing through Boonton, NJ, please consider stopping by Boonton Bagels and Deli for some of the best bagels you will ever have. It is literally 2 minutes off I-287 (exit 45) on Myrtle Ave in a little plaza. My wife and I stopped for gas and a bite to eat on our way back from my mom's house and skipped McDonalds and Jersey Mike's to try this place. We had a couple of delicious subs we couldn't finish, so the owner, Emad, wrapped the rest up for us. My wife mentioned we were heading back to Boston and he said that he used to visit Newton to visit his sister back in the day. Then he asked us to wait and proceeded to fill a bag up with 8 bagels. He handed them to me and said he knows that we can't find a good bagel in Boston (He's absolutely right).
I couldn't wait so when we got back to the car, I took one out and took a bite. Sublime. Look up bagel in the dictionary and you get a picture of one of their bagels. It was everything a bagel should be. Firm, chewy exterior and a light, fluffy interior with a hint of sweetness. Usually, I have to toast a Boston bagel just to make it edible but with these, I think toasting would be a crime against the bagel gods. It is now a must stop both ways on our...
Read moreWent in today (august 26th) first time Iâve ever been, and it was obvious to the daughter, because when I went to order at the cash register she looked me up and down 2 times and turned her back to me to go on her phone, I was patient and stood there waiting for about a minute so she could finish watching her video or whatever, then she asked for my order. I specifically said âcan I please have an egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagelâ very straight forward and the simplest order ever. How hard could it be huh? Well she then asked, would you like salt pepper, ketchup? I said ânoâ and that was it. Welp, I got my order about 7 minutes after watching her kid run around the dining hall. Turns out she decided for me and I got all that extra stuff on my bagel that I clearly said no to. Plus the bagel was 4.50 when the sign clearly says 4. I asked her why that was, and she said those are old prices. Okay fine⌠I guess just donât change the prices, cuz ya know, thatâs just barely acceptable nowadays. She knows exactly who I am and she wonât see me again. (Iâm this upset about the ketchup only because it always makes the bagel soggy and not enjoyable, I hope to anyone reading that is understandable) (also Iâd like to point out, it was not busy in...
