Ellis Home & Garden — Attraction in Bossier City

There is a tremendous sale happening at ELLIS in Bossier City on the corner there at Airline and Barksdale, right there at the railroad tracks. Up to 70% off Seasonal items under the tent outside and boy do they have some GREAT STUFF out there!!! Anything from Halloween to Christmas. Some very CUTE, QUIRKY, NICE, CLASSY, TASTEFUL, LONELY, FUNNY, SCARY DECOR. WE are talking very inexpensive. You must go see. I made a promise to myself to return Monday without my husband. Also inside Ellis there is such a wonderful smell. I forgot just how good it smells inside the old "Ellis Pottery". There are some lovely blouses that are locally made ( not cheaply made either). These blouses are done in such wonderful colors too. I also found a few t-shirt Jersey's. Now "REAL" Jersey's are very hard to find. There are other women's tops and pjs also available inside Ellis so if you get the time and you are over that way, I think you could knock out a lot of Christmas gifts if you like I might..for...

I would actually give three & a half stars if I could. We need HALF STARS PLEASE GOOGLE. We stopped in here our last trip to Bossier City for some pumpkins & hopes that there would be some fall photo ops. And we were really hoping for some activities of some kind, for kids. At the Longview location they have quite a few really cute photo ops during the fall and pre Covid they also had some activities for kids. We were pleasantly surprised with the HUGE & wide selection pumpkins though! I could have definitely done without the female employee that constantly followed us around & everytime we told our son to not pick up a pumpkin or whatever, she felt the need to chime in! It was honestly insane & unlike anything I've ever experienced before. She is the reason I am only giving three stars. If things are different our next visit, I'll absolutely edit my review. I used to love this place. They have a wide selection of home decor and gardening accessories. Today however really disappointed me. everything in their patriotic department was marked 50% off. It wasn't until I checked out that I realized they had marked up the original price to mark down 50% off so really I was only getting about 20% off. Also there was only one person working the register with four people in line. Usually I get right in and out but today that was not the case. This makes me sad because I always try to support local business and this used to be one of my favorite places to shop, but if they are going to continue marking up prices and then saying their items are on sale, I won't be shopping here...
