1-Star Review for Cut and Flow Studio – SCAM TACTICS AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Absolutely terrible experience. My pregnant wife has been trying to cancel her membership with Cut and Flow Studio, and the entire process has been a nightmare. First off, she has been paying without being able to attend because she is pregnant with a high risk of preeclampsia. You’d think any decent business would show basic compassion and flexibility in a situation like that — not Cut and Flow. You can’t even call to talk to a real person about canceling – they force you to communicate through email only. No one responds in a timely manner, and they make it deliberately difficult to cancel. Instead of being understanding or helpful, they seem more interested in squeezing every last penny out of you before letting you go. Even when we tried to cancel, after one year they billed us the most recent charge plus 50% of the remainder they claim we owed, saying we didn’t pay for the full 12 months — and continued to charge us. It feels like a total scam. This is a business that thrives on trapping customers in fine print and avoiding all real communication. Pregnant or not, they don’t care. They just want your money. STAY AWAY. You’ve been warned.
Thank you for your response, but frankly, if your studio had demonstrated genuine care and clear communication from the beginning, this review wouldn’t have been necessary.
Your message states that you “take feedback seriously” and “aim to be transparent and supportive,” yet our experience reflects the opposite. What we encountered was a rigid, impersonal system designed to frustrate attempts to cancel — not one grounded in compassion or clarity.
When someone is pregnant, especially with a high-risk condition like preeclampsia, the expectation isn’t just frozen memberships or reduced cancellation fees — it’s basic empathy and a human approach. Instead, we were met with delayed, scripted email responses and no real way to talk to someone directly. That doesn’t feel “transparent” — it feels evasive.
The studio claims cancellation policies were clearly offered or used. That’s simply not true. We were pushed in circles via email, with long delays and vague responses — and told we owed more money even after almost a full year of payments. Their “supportive” process only kicked in after public accountability.
Mentioning prenatal workshops and instructor training is a deflection — it has nothing to do with how they treated someone in a real-life prenatal situation. No amount of programming makes up for a lack of basic empathy when someone is unable to attend and tries to cancel.
And finally, if the studio truly wanted to “connect,” they would provide accessible, timely, and real human communication — not hide behind delayed email responses and a confusing system.
This review remains as a warning to others. We stand...
Read moreI’ll start with the good—I truly enjoy the classes, and every instructor I’ve had has been wonderful.
That said, I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others who are deciding between studios, and perhaps management can also consider these points from the perspective of a paying customer who works full-time.
For the price ($320 for 12 classes per month), I often feel like I have to schedule my life around the classes rather than the classes working with my schedule. I book my classes weeks in advance, yet I still struggle to get into all the sessions I need. The ones that fit within my work hours fill up so quickly that I rarely get a spot.
The studio is also very strict with lateness—even arriving just a few seconds late means you won’t be allowed in. In one instance, I was turned away for being less than a minute late, which felt unnecessarily rigid.
Given how hard it is to get into the classes that work for me, the pricing feels a bit unreasonable. I often find myself scrambling to make inconvenient class times rather than feeling like I’m getting the flexibility I’d expect at this price point.
Additionally, I was initially given different pricing information than what I was ultimately charged, and I’ve spoken with friends who signed up at the same time and received different rates, which only adds to the frustration.
The location is very convenient for me, and I do enjoy the classes I take—but at times, I question whether the value...
Read moreAfter being invited by a friend in September, I purchased an unlimited Xformer membership at Cut + Flow. I had three children in five years and haven’t done more than the occasional run and walk over the past four years (my youngest is two). Working moms of littles, IYKYK. I’ve now taken 86 classes with 24 instructors. Each instructor has been encouraging, kind, and considerate with my process, offering modifications throughout each class. I’ve only ever felt supported by the instructors and not one has made me feel inadequate. In fact, they’ve been incredible cheerleaders! Each instructor regularly calls out attendees by name throughout each class, encouraging and praising them for their work.
I held my first 30 second full plank after six weeks of classes and cried, I was so excited. When I hit 50 classes, the gals at the front desk and my instructor (Hannah) congratulated me and shared the news with the class, who all cheered.
As a former marathon runner and competitive soccer player, I can be hard on myself with my physical abilities postpartum. I have LOVED seeing what my body can do and growing in strength at Cut + Flow. I am so much stronger than I was a few months ago (both physically and mentally), and am excited to see the progress to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Cut + Flow team for your great instruction and uplifting community! I’m so grateful.
And a special shoutout to the instructors I’ve had the most: Aimee, Hannah, Yeti,...
