Bothell, WA Location - My family was harassed and verbally abused by the staff, especially the lead staff member, tonight. We arrived around 6:30 to have dinner, my wife and two young kids. We placed our order and ate our chips and drinks and waited about 20 minutes for our sandwiches. It was about 5 till 7pm and one of the staff members yelled out “Time to get out!” - we didn’t think anything of it as we thought it was a joke. The lead, a gentleman with missing upper teeth, yelled at us and said “GET OUT! We need to clean!” I told him all we wanted to do was finish our sandwiches and hope that was ok. He became irate and yelled at my family and said he didn’t care and to get out! Things escalated and long story short my kids were crying and he said he didn’t care about my kids - as a protective father and husband I became upset and wanted to speak to the owner or manager and no one on staff gave me the managers name. I asked for a manager and he said she wasn’t there. I asked other staff and they didn’t say much. The lead eventually came out from behind the counter and wanted to fight me. I’ve never been treated like this in a public setting in my entire life. I eat lunch here a few times a week and all we wanted to do was take my family to Tubs - finish our sandwiches and be on our way. This lead should be fired and the entire team should have a lesson in how to treat people. Who yells at a customer?? I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and never experienced what my family went through tonight. Do not give this place your time if day. The staff is rude and the lead with missing front teeth has an ego and treats people like garbage. I hope the manager calls me back. My family was verbally abused and harassed and I won’t tolerate it. Any owner would fire this employee on the spot. You’ve lost a customer and many...
Read moreIf you are a "no masker" as this business likes refer to people who cannot or will not wear a mask. Boycott businesses like this! This is not a friendly place. This business is operated by fear. They use the excuse that it's not safe to not wear a mask while inside the building yet everybody sitting inside the building eating food is not wearing a mask? I ordered some food online in an attempt to support this business and get some food and instead of walking inside without a mask on I called and offered that they meet me halfway and bring it to the door, they said they're not allowed to leave the building if I'm not wearing a mask because it's unsafe and cancelled my order and refused to provide me with the food they had already prepared.....
When someone has something you want but are unwilling to give it to you. Lets say its paid for already, but first you are expected to provide an offering of compliance first. It is literally holding your product or service for Ransom. Quid pro quo well you paid for this and ill give it to you, but I need you to do something for me first? What kinda crooked policy is this?
I would think that if all struggling businesses are interested in being successful they should do everything to accommodate all forms of customers wouldn't you agree? That is if they are in fact solely interested in doing business and not being the tool to perpetuate fear-mongering and forced compliance.
It is discrimination to assume everyone is expected to have to wear a face covering. When there are exemptions that you dont take into consideration.
Hopefully this establishment will correct their misguided "policy" and realize that consumers are people and they are all different walks of life and all have freedoms that are not to be...
Read moreI've been going to Tubs for years but after my experience tonight, I won't return. Actually, it's a combination of experiences that have led to ending my patronage of this business. For the past several years I have felt that their prices are to high for a sub, chips and a drink. The quality of their product is above average but for the money, I would rather eat at Subway or Jimmy Johns. Also, Tubs Subs posts their closing time as 7 PM. However, they refuse orders after 6:45. The vast majority of food vendors will stop production at closing time, not a quarter of an hour before closing time, particularly when they are just making sandwiches. The final straw came tonight when I was ordering 3 sandwiches for take out. I wanted 3 large sandwiches but was informed that they only had small sized 6 inch white bread, but that they had foot long wheat bread. I asked if I could get 2 smalls for the price of a large and the order-taker/cashier said that he had only been charging the small sized price all day. When pressed, he said he could ask his manager, who had been standing a mere 4 feet away making a sandwich. The manager replied, without even bothering to turn around to face me, mumbled something about "it would use too much product" and no, I could not have 2 small sandwiches for the price a 1 large sandwich. What has happened to basic customer service? The good will it would have created over a few cents of giving away "too much product" was too high a price to keep a loyal customer I guess. So my years of buying overpriced sandwiches at Tubs Subs has ended. I will not...
