It's an mbta station. They're nothing glamorous. However, should you be far from home and unfamiliar with the area, the Braintree MBTA station is safe (advise there is danger everywhere! Still use caution and be aware of your surroundings. My saying is that it is safe , not advice that you should ask a stranger to hold your purse or babysit your child) It's a well lit facility with service for the Red Line, Commuter Rail, and MBTA bus service. Out on the main road, there are several places to shop and eat in the event you are stuck there and need to kill time. You'll find stores and restaurants in any direction. There's a bathroom, and ask an MBTA employee or the Transit police for access to the bathroom. Giving 5 stars because in comparison to many other stations with zero stores nearby and limited or none of everything, plus in dangerous areas, Braintree is a Ritz of MBTA...
Read moreMost days are okay but at least two or three times a week. Trains are delayed because of problems on the tracks, that's the answer they give us when we ask questions. Or when we are all on the appropriate train waiting to leave we are told to leave the train because it is going out of service and wait for another train that "should be coming soon" that has happened to me more than three times. There are no announcements to tell the riders why there are so many delays. Also I pay $22.50 to ride the train and the bus 5 days a week, while I am there at least two or three people jump over the turnstyles getting to ride for free and the workers do nothing to stop it or at least tell them...

It's what it says it is...and always under construction of sum sorts it seems th o lol...as far as "sneaking around" to go smoke weed or take a piss n what not if need be... it's the most surveilled station I've ever seen, cameras directly linked to the B.P.D. as well as being located not far from their lair...so reaction time is fast (allegedly ?!), side note Braintree's finest typically are dressed for "war" in tactical gear and overachieving use of look at my compensation equipment...they dress worse than Brockton Police do, and they actually get shot at from...
