Hobby Lobby in Braintree, MA is such a great place to shop. I sew, knit and do wood burning, and no matter what project I'm working on, they have something for me. The staff is pleasant. The staff in the sewing department always asks about my project as they're cutting fabric for me. They make sure I have what I need. And the best part is that the store is always neat and organized. Here is a scarf I'm working on using Hobby Lobby yarn, and a small tote I made with fabric from their sewing department.

I love this store. I found unique items that I haven't seen anywhere before. I really enjoyed shopping here. I appreciate being able to pick up quality faith based items without having to order them online. This will definitely be a place that I go to first for gift ideas, home decor items and other things that I need.

Very impressive when you walk in. Everything you could need for crafts, decorating, sewing & more not to mention the seasonal items, but I found it to be a bit expensive. That being said, I still didn't walk out empty handed.

Recently I got into stained glass art, but the downside is that Hobby Lobby seems to be the only stained glass supplier in the area. Even though I disagree with their politics I didn't have much choice but to shop there. Until today I haven't had a bad experience.

Today I went in to grab supplies for a sun catcher I'm making. All I had was a glass panel and some small bead packages. I didn't even need a basket to carry it. I got in line and waited several minutes. There were only two people ahead of me and they appeared to have less than I did. They saw me standing there as we waited and one of their kids ran around.

Then when the cashier finally finished talking with the costumer at the desk, she took a "line closed" sign, walked up to me and said she'll only help the ladies in front of me, there are other lines open. I'm not paraphrasing. She said it very bluntly and I didn't complain or make it scene but it felt personal.

I've been thinking over why she singled me out and the only thing I can think of is my race. I've met far nicer cashiers but this is by far the worse experience I've had...

Hmmm! Random!?! Not very impressed. A randomly arranged mishmash of decor, crafting, furniture. There were some cute items for sure, but how would I know where to find them. For those of us in the Northeast, think poor excuses for Burlington, Michaels and Joann's all mixed together. One interesting feature was the way decor was arranged in mini pods, i.e. coastal decor, western, even gun-slinging. That said, the pods were randomly arranged: no overhead signage to be found. The final straw was our cashier spoke to us under her breath in Spanish, whispering Buenos Noches. I smiled and responded accordingly in my limited Spanish tongue. The cashier then stated that the customer before us told her she did not speak English. I applauded her on her bilingual status. That is when she seemed put out and put off by the previous customer's inability to speak English despite her 'four years of honors Spanish'. I am sure this was a one off event, but it was my first impression of the store ...

The two people I had the unpleasant interaction with I found rather rude and acting like I was stupid I always go to hobby lobby braintree there was a sign in front of the item I was buying the sign had no exclusions on it and where the sign was in front of the crocheting thread saying 30%off I usually understanding but it was the way I was treated that made me walk out and leave everything behind as I said usually I'm understanding and still would have purchased the crocheting thread but when you speak to me like I'm stupid that's wrong and these employees should know yarn is not just for making clothes and has many many uses and crocheting thread you also can make clothes with it too and like I said I'm always in hobby lobby I do a number of projects from yarn to glass ,candles ,sewing I ended up going to michaels and got same stuff cheaper People need to understand there is always someone else selling same stuff and you shouldn't force customer to...
