We were very excited to try this one after all the good reviews but left extremely disappointed. The look of the room was cool and felt like an underwater theme but overall it was just very “empty” as far as clues and puzzles (hard to explain without giving anything away). We spent over 20 mins on 1 task and ended up asking twice for help because it wasn’t working, the game master had to end up coming into the room to fix a main lighting device that was marked with stickers for people not to touch so it was no fault of our own that it wasn’t working and they didn’t offer to credit any time which was odd and kind of ruined the whole time since there was no way to make it through the room after that. During all of the 30+ rooms we have done, we have only had a piece be messed up or broken one other time at an escape room in PCB but the game master gave us a little time back to make up for their mistake.
Update: Horrible service shows again. Perhaps you need to watch your video closely or learn how to zoom in because NO ONE Touched that item when the issue was happening. No one even looked at the one with the sticker until we sat there trying over and over to get the thing to work, that is when I walked over there to trace the issue to the very beginning and realized the very first item had a do not touch sticker, I pointed at it and said that one had to be the problem because you could clearly see the laser wasn’t lined up all the way, we hit the button to ask for the game master multiple times but all they kept saying was make sure everything is lined up. The issue was happening way before anyone even looked at it and after that long and that many times of pushing the button you think he would’ve come in sooner because they walked straight to the issue fixed it up and it worked immediately. I could’ve went on and on with the original review to discuss more about the bad service; from the quiet and non-helpful GM, to the end when someone else walked into the room to let us out. There was no speaking, no offer to take pictures, nothing. It was a very somber experience from people who seemed like they did not enjoy their jobs or did not wanna be there. It was the worst escape room experience we...
Read moreAfter a good experience doing the Atlantis escape room we had decided to go back and do the haunted mansion waaaaaooo was I disappointed like I mean as I’m writing this I could hear my friends 14yr old sister crying. We tried to book for Aug 6 but it couldn’t be booked because it was all booked so we decided to book for Aug 7 at 11:15pm. So we showed up for our scheduled appointment at the escape room and was told by Jeffrey that our appointment was set for yesterday but we asked him how?? it’s not possible because you were all booked yesterday so we asked if we could just go ahead now Aug 7 11:15pm. They had 2 rooms available it’s not like they were going to be sold in a split second it’s the end of the night smh. When we came in a gentlemen (very nice) there said yes in the beginning of this whole thing so we had basically opted out from the Haunted Mansion onto the philosopher and after the guy said yes the guy named Jeffrey said we had to pay again claiming we did a no show when we couldn’t have possibly did a no show due to us not been able to book it because every room was booked/full (there was no availability) on Aug 6th. He also was claiming they don’t make mistakes and I told him computers do and on top of that he sent our no show email right now on Aug 7th at 12:15pm for our “no show” for Aug the 6th but sent another email right after that talking about “sorry we missed you on Aug 7th at 11:15” I’m very disappointed but more than anything shocked on how uneducated...
Read moreI've done maybe a dozen escape rooms. Aesthetically, it's beautiful however our experience was very lack luster. I wasn't paying attention to the video (not a safety video but a back story video) so the game master found it important to tell me so over the in room speaker. I also always have a small flashlight with me due to cataracts and not being able to see well in dimly lit situations. He also found it important to tell me over the in room speaker "no outside props". It's not a prop. It's how I can participate and see. Many escape rooms have torches or lanterns for extra light and still keep with the themeing. This however did not.
Every other venue, I've been to have had helpful and enthusiastic gamemasters. When we completed the game the game master just opened the door and didnt say much. No congratulations, no did you have fun, nada. The attitude was basically, "ok. You can go".
I love doing escape rooms but not this one. They have some pretty cool looking games but the experience overall was poor. Also I definitely do not recommend if you have any handicap that causes mobility issues (wheelchair, crutches, etc). The room design did not take into consideration people who are differently abled.
EDIT: in response to game over. No cameras or video recording devices were used. As mentioned, it was a flashlight, not a light on a...
