Nice little park. There are walkways for hiking, or just walking or riding your bike. Interesting playground, and several sports fields, including basketball and baseball – looks like little league. Also a track for running or walking. And a pretty little lake.

Shenandoah Bike Club Century was hosted here-excellent venue for this.

Celebrated Emma Kestersons 8th birthday here at Oakdale Park with many of her classmates, parents and family. The weather has been great too enjoy this park. We were at the Pavillion by the huge playset which the kids took full advantage of all afternoon. Everything is well maintained and in good order. The Pavillion had 19 clean picnic tables which we could move around to suit our needs. The bathrooms are clean and sanitary and readily accessible. This park is beautiful, plenty of trees balanced with alot of open spaces to play Frisbee or catch. We used our b-rec card to reserve this space in advance which cost nothing (no card=$25), and there was no issue or conflicting booking: our name was on the paper behind plexiglass where all could see it. There are 3 trashcans here so clean up was easy. We didn't grill out but there are two huge outdoor grills here at this pavillion alone. Parking is no problem either. Really there isn't a downside to this park, it's perfect. We left it as clean or cleaner than when we came here. We want everyone to...

Brand new trails opened, up the hill E and around a large pasture. Only things lacking on the new trail so far are pet waste bag dispensers and garbage cans. I carry my own bags for the dog doo but picked up some garbage already left along the trail. Fantastic amenity built by the retirement community! Otherwise this park already has the other amenities; ball fields, rest rooms, playground, and picnic areas, and is...

I visited the park for a cycling event organized by Shenandoah Bicycling Association. We enjoyed several shelters which served as a rest stop and for lunch break. I didn’t venture into other areas of the park but I observed a nice playground and several basketball and tennis courts nearby. Seems like a great place for families and athletic activities for the local...
