Celebrated Emma Kestersons 8th birthday here at Oakdale Park with many of her classmates, parents and family. The weather has been great too enjoy this park. We were at the Pavillion by the huge playset which the kids took full advantage of all afternoon. Everything is well maintained and in good order. The Pavillion had 19 clean picnic tables which we could move around to suit our needs. The bathrooms are clean and sanitary and readily accessible. This park is beautiful, plenty of trees balanced with alot of open spaces to play Frisbee or catch. We used our b-rec card to reserve this space in advance which cost nothing (no card=$25), and there was no issue or conflicting booking: our name was on the paper behind plexiglass where all could see it. There are 3 trashcans here so clean up was easy. We didn't grill out but there are two huge outdoor grills here at this pavillion alone. Parking is no problem either. Read moreBrand new trails opened, up the hill E and around a large pasture. Only things lacking on the new trail so far are pet waste bag dispensers and garbage cans.
