Very unhappy with the Customer service here.
My experience with Bob's Chalet was unsuccessful and quite honestly, disappointing. I'm a huge North Face fan, my family and I love their coats/jackets and I was on the hunt for a lighter jacket for vacation. I was browsing the North Face website days ago when I came across the Winter sale section. I stumbled across a really cute Women's full zip hoodie in Heather Black, unfortunately, the site was out of stock in the size I needed. So, remembering this store carries North Face, I decided to stop in and see if they had the jacket. Well, to my surprise they did! The jacket on sale on the North Face website for $59.40, however, the price in the store was $99.00 and on sale for 20% off. I spoke to an associate and asked if they price match to the website, sure enough they do had to be apples to apples (same style and color). I went to the check out and the women who owned the store was at the counter re-iterated the same thing. She went to the back room to confirm with her husband. She came back out and said she was unable to find the jacket online, however, I already had it pulled up on my phone. She confirmed the jacket was indeed a match, same style and color. But here is where the disappointment kicks in, because the website was out of stock in the Large she was unable to grant me the same online price. She told me it was their store policy to only price match if the website carried the exact, style, color and size. I told her the website is out of stock and that's why I am here. I would of purchased the jacket online if they had my size, but they didn't. She refused to give me the sale price, again saying it was their store policy, which is unheard of! I've never had this experience at a store before. Everything on the jacket was the same minus the size. I can see if it wasn't the same color or style but the size?? Her only response was, "I'm sorry" and "our NF jackets are on sale for 20% off". I replied, "well, 20% off isn't a price match". Again, she apologized and was quick to put the jacket on the hanger and back on the rack. She wasn't even willing to work with me, let alone keep me as a customer. She dismissed me right away. As quickly as she turned me down, is as quickly as I left the store and will NEVER return.
Bottom Line Bob's Chalet, Customer service should be your #1 policy, not that ridiculous policy! I came to your store to buy a jacket, a jacket I could NOT purchase online and trust me, if NF had my jacket I would have gotten it from them. Rather than you selling me the coat (all to save $40) you lost a potential customer who would have purchased that jacket including additional coats for her family and then some!! Was is worth it? I told this story to my family and co-workers and they too were in disbelief. They won't be shopping there either. I'll stick to Macy's, TJMaxx, Marshalls and the NF website. Way better customer...
Read moreI ordered a pair of hiking shoes on the site being that it's a North Face discontinued model that I have had success with in the past. My order came in on time and I tried the shoes on and walked around my also walked in my yard to throw a ball around for my dog. I quickly noticed (within 5 minutes), that the shoes were quacking and that the 12.5 that I ordered was too big and needed to be returned.
I came inside and took the shoes off, and dusted off the bottom since I walked on grass and the bottom has small pieces of dead grass stuck to it...
I paid the $7 for a rerun lable and sent the shows back... when I received my return notice, the return amount was for 1/2 the price of my purchase. I called in and spoke with a man and he informed me that they shoes were deemed "used" and that there is nothing he can do to help me. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and he told me that there is nothing that can be done to resolve this and that there wasn't a manager to talk to and then proceeded to HANG UP on me. I called back 4 additional times only to be immediately hung up on. I called in from a different number and the same man told me the same thing and again, disconnected the call.
I am completely shocked that this is the service that your company offers. It's difficult to buy shoes online (not with Amazon though!!!!) and the truth is that I simply tried on the shoes, they were too big and I sent them back. The shoes were in new condition, without any wear or scratches. The truth is that these shoes are going to be sold as new again, and your company charged me $80 to try them on, and this is robbery. Furthermore, as a paying customer, my loyalty matter when buying the shoes and didn't matter when returning them due to not fitting.
I later found out that many people have been scammed and burned with returns to this company, and that they are not even accredited by the BBB... Bobs sport chalet is the problem that small brick and mortar businesses are failing and how customer service eccentric companies like Amazon are putting everyone out of business. At the same time as trying these shoes, I ordered 7 shoes (for a free 7 day trial) from Amazon and was able to return all the shoes hassle free.
Since then I disputed the changes and as an upset customer going to now do everything to prevent a further customer being conned by another...
Read moreHorrible experience ordering from Bob's. Ordering from them is not worth the unkind, disrespectful way you will be treated if anything goes wrong. Not to mention the money you will be out. I was very hurt and disturbed by the way they attacked my character. I was thankful I could come on here and see that many others had the same experience. I only wish I had read these reviews before placing my order. I would have hopefully taken my business elsewhere.
I needed 2 ski helmets for me and my husband for our upcoming ski trip. Each helmet was $175. Bob's was the only place I could find the size/color online. Only 1 helmet arrived. I even have a UPS photo that shows that only one helmet having arrived on my porch. I called customer service and was very respectful just trying to work together to resolve the issue. It became clear the that the two boxes that Bob's taped together fell apart in the shipping process. I spoke with Bill. He kept talking over me. He accused me of tampering with the box. The box arrived at 4:45pm on a Friday and he said I should have called that day. I had given shipping and Bob's the benefit of the doubt and assumed the second helmet would arrive on Monday. I waited until Wednesday to call and Bill and another customer rep told me "I waited way too long. I had wasted too much of their time already. There is nothing we can do." Then they hung up. Bill even accused me that the lost helmet was my fault because in his words, "who orders two identical helmets?" Bill says they blew up the UPS photo and it clearly shows 2 helmets on my porch. I showed them measurements of how that is impossible that a box the size that they are describing (big enough to fit 2 helmets) could fit on the chair on my porch. I honestly could go on and on. But there are so many reviews here saying the same thing. I I was so hurt because I communicated with them in such a respectful way, giving them the benefit of doubt. They treated me like I was a liar and trying to scam them. $175 is not worth...
