I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering takeout from Olive Pizza, and I must express my profound disappointment. I ordered an extra-large pizza, a small gluten-free pizza, each with two toppings in half of each pizza, and a clam chowder. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a letdown from start to finish.
Firstly, the cost was shockingly high—over $80 for two pizzas and a soup, which I wouldn't have minded if the quality justified the price. Sadly, that was not the case. Both pizzas were inedibly salty; it seemed as though cheap, low-quality cheese was used, which overwhelmed any other flavors. The excessive saltiness made it impossible to enjoy even a single bite. Additionally, the so-called extra-large pizza looked more like a regular large pizza, which added to the feeling of being overcharged.
To make matters worse, the clam chowder was clearly frozen and reheated. The texture and flavor screamed pre-packaged convenience, which was incredibly disappointing for something that should have been freshly made.
Moreover, the lack of transparency regarding pricing left a bad taste in my mouth. I wasn't informed of the total cost when placing the order, and to my dismay, I failed to ask—a mistake I won't make again. For what was charged, I had expected a much higher standard of quality.
I've seen restaurants do exactly this in the past, and unfortunately, they’re no longer in business. If you’re going to charge that much for pizza, you most definitely have to make sure your ingredients are of the best quality. Your...
Read moreYesterday I placed a delivery order with these folks. The pizza is NOT the best around here like they advertise. They are very cheap with the toppings even though I paid a premium price for the pizza with pepperoni & bacon. Pepperoni is listed as a premium topping as was the bacon. This is the first time I have paid a premium for pepperoni. The bacon I understand paying a premium price for but put bacon on the pizza. A piece of bacon on every slice is not too much to expect. Expect to pay for delivery even if you are across the street from this place. My house is 2.8 miles from the place and they charged me $3.00 for delivery, even though I spent $70.00 on the my order. Personally I believe that if I spend that much on food, charging me $3.00 to deliver it is over the top. I am sorry now that I gave the driver a tip. I only ate the pizza and paid for the order, so that is the only things I will comment on. The folks that ate the other stuff can submit their own reviews. I will not be ordering their mediocre pizza again. And if you enjoy a good pizza,do not order it...
Read moreSo I'm hungry at 9:30 at night. Dunkin is NOT making food 😫 I call Max's. They closed the kitchen at 9:30 (It was 9:31 😵) I turn in an am sitting in front of Olive Pizza.Hmmm ... Heard good things about them. I call and the gentleman was willing to feed me 😇Fifteen minutes later I pick up my meatball grinder with eggplant fries (Hate eggplant, love the fries). The 2 gentlemen helped me over the high curb and after picking up the food, back to my van. Such nice people! The food. Well none of the fries made it home. Most places around here make them crispy; these were nicely CRUNCHY! I saved the grinder for home and it was perfect. Light sauce as requested and a healthy additional helping of cheese. The bread was amazing: a chewy, tasty loaf --- no puff here. And the meatballs weren't dogfood (more fillers than meat). Hallelujah. Can't wait to try...
