Vicente's Supermarket — Attraction in Brockton

I always want to support local businesses and shop quite frequently at Vicente. After today I will take my hard earned cash and spend it where it is appreciated. This is the 4th time I've tried to order fish at the seafood counter in the back and each time I've had to be aggressive about getting served fairly. I am a black American. I hate to even mention that fact but now after today's event I feel its relevant. The men working behind the counter are capeverdean. I notice each time I've been there these men behind the counter will take capeverdean ppl orders regardless of who was at the counter first. Today this occurred once again except this time I sat back and watched how many ppl this guy would assist before assisting me. Finally I watched him serve 3 capeverdean women and I was alone at the counter. He went to the side and gave the bag of fish to the last one, walked back behind the counter, looked at me without saying a word. Then proceeded to go to the counter to talk with another guy who was cutting up fish. Vicente your employees need a major course in customer service. The etiquette is very poor. It's very sad because this behavior that is allowed will lead to ppl taking their hard earned money elsewhere. Do...

This market is good, but one experience changed my point of view. I was at the fish department waiting for a fish. I was there since 6:00. Around 6:40, one of the workers said they were closed, and I NEVER got my fish. The worker starts lashing out and we ask for the manager and he brings this guy. We are telling him what happens when he calls security on us. There were working on the same fish for AT LEAST 40 min. I left, not getting my fish. The wide food variety makes you get attracted, but the attitudes of some workers are horrendous. The worker ACCUSED us for saying racist things. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. They won’t get paid if customers don’t come because they get money from the customers and they were acting like they didn’t want any customers. Friend of mine told me about Vincent's Supermarket, because I was looking to make a substantial purchase. I stopped by two days before the actual shopping day, so I could checkout the inventory. They were adequately stocked with the desired goods.

I asked an employee who the manager was, he said "Brian." I asked to speak with Brian, the employee said ask for for him at the front of the store, which I did.

I ask if Brian, the manager, was available and if I could have two minutes of his time. The employee said yes, Brian was as there and he said he would see if he was able to talk to me.

What said employee did next, as I watched him, was walked around in a circle cash register, never once making any attempts to get to Brian. He then approached me and said "Brian is in a meeting." Smfh. I guess customers...
