Sherwin-Williams Paint Store — Attraction in Brookfield

Had to deal with this particular location because I need touch up paint for a local apartment I am moving out of. The apartment complex has a specific paint color with Sherwin-Williams. I haven’t purchased paint in a while, so I assumed they could give a small amount like a sample. I was told my a male rep over the phoneI can only get the color in a gallon. I don’t need a gallon. He said I could get a quart as a close match. I decided to get some color swatches from Lowe’s because they have samples. Next day I try to order a similar color from Lowe’s but you cannot get a sample in flat/matte. So I call back to this SW location - now get a female rep. She says I can get a gallon. I ask about a quart. Tell her the man I spoke to yesterday said I could get a quart. I don’t need that much paint (wasteful) and cost (moving, on a budget). I hear her conference with him - ask him to talk to me. He doesn’t want to. Fine, this lady seemed more competent anyways. She says a quart would not be a match and would be noticeable. I ask how much a gallon is. She tells me I can get the apartment complex price for $20. Great! I order it for pickup the next morning. I arrive to SW. I deal with a female rep - she says she needs my name to start an account for any discounts. Guy behind the counter with her says it’s only BOGO. I tell her I’m in a bit of a rush anyways so don’t worry about it. I turn my back, then see this guy out of the corner of my eye walk up and whisper to her. I can only assume it’s a comment about me - being difficult perhaps? Her demeanor changes and she proceeds to tell me she can do it without making an account but in the future I will need to give my name for an account at any SW. I’m stood there like - it’s just freaking paint. I am only here bc of the apartment complex. I tell her ‘I understand. I have a lot going on trying to move and my daughter is waiting in the car’. I normally do not post reviews like this. Actually never had. But the passive-aggressive rudeness from people checking me out for paint is absurd. 3-stars for the woman who took my order and the quickness of paint...

Between Michelle and Bill getting the right paint and supplies was so easy. Michelle is the color consultant and has a great eye for color. She walked me through picking out colors for every room including the basement. I told her what colors I was leaning too in what rooms and she helped me get the right colors for the space. I was going with a darker color for the basement and she talked me out of the darker into a meringue yellow. I was so happy I listened to her because the basement is nice and bright now and looks amazing. I love the colors we picked. Bill helped with everything else I needed to do a good job. Great people, great store. I would recommend this store to everyone looking for paint and paint supplies. You get what you pay for with paint, cheap paint makes for a lot more work so paying a little extra for good paint is worth it. Good people to help with ALL your questions and free advice...

From the moment I stepped into the door, I was promptly greeted and assisted with no hesitation at all. Michelle had such a friendly and helpful demeanor. Her expertises shined through as she explained the different options of colors and shades. I truly appreciated how she took the time to learn about my upcoming project, as well as my interests to assist me with finding the perfect color. Also, while in the store another customer came in and she remembered them by name and their prior purchases, to assist them.
