We did our homework ahead of time and knew we wanted a Stearns and Foster Pillow Top King mattress (to replace the one we bought at R&F nearly 18 years ago) and the salesperson, Ralph, was extremely informative, helpful, and patient so we could zero-in on exactly which mattress we wanted. The mattress is perfect - luxurious, heavy-duty (we are large people), strong sides so we don't easily slide off (we are in our 60's), and amazingly comfortable and supportive for sleeping. The only issues we have are regarding the Reverie platform frame (which is an alternative to box springs) 1) Although it is adjustable in height, even at the highest position, the bed is lower than our old set up with box springs - about 2" lower - which may sound small, but it DOES make a difference. We were told that the bed could be adjusted to the same height of 32" from the floor - not so, but we are going to see how it goes (we have 30 days to try it all out) and 2) We were not told that our existing headboard could not be attached to the platform frame without an additional $60.00 purchase of an installation kit. So, the mattress and platform were delivered, but the headboard is resting against the wall - not attached to anything. When I called and asked about it, the salesperson, Ralph, placed a separate order for us (for the installation kit - which looks to oversized brackets and screws) - at no cost and we will attach the headboard ourselves. I wish we had discussed this when we purchased the mattress and platform frame - it would have been nice to have it all done at one time (even if it cost $60 more... when you're paying over $4000.00; what's a few dollars more)? Overall, we are very happy. Ralph, the salesperson was excellent - he personalized the experience - and the delivery team (Darias and Brian) were amazing - professional, STRONG, respectful, thorough, caring, and got that big truck up a very steep driveway without scraping the pavement! BRAVO...
Read moreI would not recommend Raymour and Flanigan to anyone. I am still in the midst of my sectional purchase nightmare, more than 2 months after delivery. I bought the "3 piece sectional w/raf cuddler" and I am happy with two out of three of the pieces. The chaise and middle section of the couch are great; good quality, dense cushions, and still look good. After not even three months why shouldn't they? The "cuddler" section, which was incredibly comfortable in the showroom, at home has almost immediately become sunken in; and is of obvious lesser quality than the other two pieces. Both the seat and back cushions are thinner, under stuffed and already look worn out and pulled. The whole piece sinks in towards the middle and the wood frame sticks up too high in the back. After I took a survey and relayed my problem, Raymour and Flanigan contacted me in an attempt to fix the issue. Which involved a team member coming to my home at 8:45 am to tell me that, yes we needed the "better cushions" and that they had already been ordered and he didn't know why he was there...at 8:45am on a weekday. As for the sunken in middle, he stated, that's just how it is...so the couch I sat on in the show room, that is sat on by 10's of 100's of people a day and was very comfortable and "cuddly" and also a major part of my decision to buy it, is not the same product that I spent three thousand dollars on. He was at my home for less than 5 minutes. As of today I haven't heard anything since my unecessary early morning visit two weeks ago. When I called to inquire I was met with annoyance and unprofessionalism, which has been the case throughout my entire journery with Raymour and Flanigan. I would not recommend them to anyone. I had better customer...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience. After sitting on a very soft, comfortable couch, I decided to purchase it for $1500.00. That's the end of the nice story. The delivery day came, couch was assembled and after agreeing there were no defects, they left. I was happy to sit on that cozy couch, only to be met with a ROCK SOLID COUCH that was as comfortable as a cement block.
I decided to go back into the store the very next day to sit on that original couch again, and it was soft, comfortable just like I ORDERED. I asked what the return policy was and was abruptly told "there is NO return, only for damage". I went on to explain that the couch I received is NOT the couch I sat on and purchased. To that I was told "this couch could have been here for 5 years and its broken in" .... ok, so I have to wait 5 years? No one ever explained that to me, not even a side note. He then responded rudely, "I don't know who sold it to you", I said aren't you all trained in customer service, wouldn't that be an important thing to mention?
I also want to say that this store is constantly trying to throw BOB'S FURNITURE, RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD under the bus, like they are less than. Bob's is 100% MORE THAN this place. I actually had a couch a few years back that after about a week, decided it just wasn't right .... no questions, no hard time. I was met with "no problem, let's get you what you want". They picked up the couch and delivered a new one within days. THAT is customer service.
What a rude man who was dressed the part, but forgot the important part - to treat people with respect and kindness.
Pay attention - Steer clear and if you are suckered into buying something, be ready for a cinderblock in your...
