Frustrating Father's Day KFC Experience
Celebrating Father's Day after our grandson's baseball game, we wanted to treat the family to some Kentucky Fried Chicken from the Brookfield location. It was our first time ordering from there, and unfortunately, it wasn't a smooth experience.
We planned to use the KFC app for a convenient pickup. After selecting nearly $200 worth of food, the app wouldn't process the order. Restarting the app and double-checking our entries didn't help.
Hoping to place the order by phone, we called the store and explained the app issue. They confirmed that others had reported similar problems. We inquired if they could honor the online specials, as two deals were key to our order. Unfortunately, the staff member was unfamiliar with how to do this.
Requesting a manager, we explained the situation again. Disappointingly, the manager also seemed unsure and uninterested in finding a solution.
With a large family order on hand, we were left with no choice but to head to an Italian restaurant instead. It was a real letdown for our Father's Day celebration, especially considering the size of our order.
In my experience, customer service is paramount. Ideally, a solution would have been found to accommodate our order, even with the app...
Read moreI craved chicken pot pie last night. BF wanted to try the bowl with mashed potatoes, corn, gravy and cheese but changed his mind and chose the tenders instead. We'd talked about the new mac n' cheese but were leery. I don't like their mashed potatoes or their gravy anymore. I don't know if it's my taste buds changing or their recipes but I loved both in 2000. Got there around 20 of 7 PM and caught a lull, yay! The counterman was very polite and helpful with my questions. I ordered the 2 meal boxes and got another one with the bowl (for BF's lunch today). I was told that it was more money to get the bowl alone (they can make this to your liking i.e. no corn, etc.) then if I got a $5 box. I didn't need 3 drinks so he substituted a cookie. In and out in 10 minutes...

The problem was we ordered to $30 fill up that comes with chicken and tenders. The lady said hold on let me check if we have the tenders. She comes back on and says we have the tenders but it will be 10 minutes. Okay fine no problem we had to wait in line anyways. So we finally make it up to the window and she takes our cash and then goes ohh we don't have the tenders so Ill just charge you for the $20 fill up. No thats not what we ordered. Why would you tell someone your checking on a product say yes you have it then wait til they get to the front say nope we don't have it but I'll still charge you. No thanks. we took our...
