Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Danbury

I recently visited this taco restaurant with my husband, and we both had a fantastic experience. As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for restaurants that offer delicious plant-based options, and this place certainly delivered!

One of the standout dishes for me was the cilantro tofu. It was absolutely amazing! The tofu was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the addition of cilantro added a fresh and vibrant flavor. I couldn't get enough of it!

I also appreciated the variety of options available for vegetarians. The menu had a range of choices that rivaled popular chains like Chipotle. It's great to have different flavors and combinations to choose from, ensuring that there's something for everyone.

Not only were the vegetarian options outstanding, but my husband, who isn't a vegetarian, also loved the food at this restaurant. It's always a win when we can both find something we enjoy.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our dining experience even better. The restaurant had a pleasant and clean atmosphere, which added to the overall positive experience.

If you're a vegetarian or someone who loves flavorful and diverse taco options, I highly recommend trying this restaurant. The cilantro tofu alone is worth the visit! We'll definitely be returning to explore more...

Salsa Fresca is my favorite Mexican restaurant for food and the staff is always friendly unfortunately I have to give three stars instead of five. I ordered online and went to pick up the food it says on their website to park and call when you arrive and your food will be brought to you. Unfortunately that couldn’t happen since both me and my boyfriend called countless times and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. There was a line out the door of people trying to pick up their order and also people ordering food. Inside the restaurant there was probably 15 to 20 people all crammed in the same place. During this pandemic having that many people in the same space is not safe. And my boyfriend went in and grabbed the food after we were waiting outside in the line for half an hour trying to get ahold of anyone over the phone. I don’t agree with how Salsa Fresca is doing business during this pandemic. Just like Moes.. Salsa Fresca should be doing online orders only and have the restaurant closed to the public and just bring out the food to their customers it would save a lot of headaches and be safer for everyone. I ate here for the first time after passing it about 100 times on my way to work. The portion you get for the price is better than Chipotle, but I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. I got a bowl with rice, chicken and various toppings. The rice was super super hard... undercooked? maybe old rice? and so were the beans. The toppings were fine chicken was kind of flavorless. When they added cheese on top of my bowl the cheese didn't even melt, the rice and chicken were not even that warm. When I got to the car the cheese still didn't melt even with the lid on. I chose here because it was a better option than Mc.Donalds or Burger King. But I would choose chipotle over this. I will probably only eat here when I get bored of burgers and sandwiches.
