To start, I’d like to thank the employees here, the people have been great, and the pick-up process has been fairly easy every time. I’ve been a medical use guest here since the location opened. At the front entrance, I usually see David, who is always very respectful, direct, and friendly. I met the manager Andrew on a recent trip in, too, also a positive interaction with a caring and empathetic person. We had a great conversation about the store’s vision for continuing to serve and care for the medical community while also welcoming adult use guests. I was more confident after our conversation that medical use will continue to be a focus, and I really appreciated Andrew’s willingness and ability to understand and empathize with my concerns.
I had been growing increasingly concerned that I eventually wouldn’t fit in at Rise with the introduction of adult use, mainly because there weren’t chairs here for a long time and it didn’t seem inviting to people with medical conditions. When my medical symptoms flare, I, like many other medical use guests, need a seat to wait in or pause at. There are a couple now, and while their placement is not finalized, I am already encouraged by the manager Andrew who has demonstrated his dedication to making the store welcoming and accommodating by taking feedback and listening to ideas about how the store could be more disability-friendly with chairs, and in other areas.
There seems to be little support from corporate RISE for these ideas, though, as little to nothing has changed with the seating situation. I feel like that’s a very basic and easy thing to take care of. With adult use coming in a couple days, it seems that may have taken the focus from medical use.
About the location, I think it’s convenient and easy to find. It’s close to I-94 and Hwy 169, very accessible without being overly busy. There’s a public transit station across the street from Rise, providing more options for travel.
The immediate shopping area itself is a little run down, but I’ve heard of and seen initiatives that the city of Brooklyn Park is taking to revitalize the shopping complex where Rise is currently located, so hopefully things will continue to improve. Some anchor stores, like the grocery store that was across the street, and multiple smaller storefronts, are empty nearby. Crime has fluctuated and businesses have come and gone over the years. Parking is plentiful and close to the entrance though so finding a spot to park and go into the store is never a problem. Rise’s parking lot is large and has undergone improvements, though it still needs work to make it smooth. This is on par with the rest of the shopping center’s parking areas.
The building which Rise is occupying was a fast food restaurant in the past and the drive thru window was still functional up until September 2025, when the “Roll Thru” pickup option was discontinued. I have tried the curbside pickup option for medical use customers, and while it was convenient, it didn’t feel as safe or secure as the pickup window. The employee could be a target for crime, especially in this area.
About the medical use products….well, you’ll have to investigate them yourself as it’s a bit different for everyone! There is help along the way, though, and I have received some great recommendations from staff. The pharmacists I have spoken with have been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I like the variety of options, and have been able to find strains and products that provide symptom relief...
Read moreHorrible business to buy from. This business is at the top of the duopolies in Minnesota. They have been in the business for years now banking a lot of money at the cost of medical patients. They do not care about their customers at all. Vapes here are a complete garbage and are over prized too. They have had time to improve on their products but they do not need to because there is no competition for them, so they could sell dog poop and people would still buy it if that gets them high because they have no other options. Green Goods is even worse. Both of them (Rise and Green Goods) are evil, they have been taking advantage of the situation just to make money. I will not buy anything from them, I rather go to a different state until there are other dispensaries to buy from. There is no customer service at all and they still have a tip jar for people to leave tips. Tips for what? Orders are placed online, nobody helps me with anything at all, then when I get there I’m asked if recreational or medical and that is all the service I get. The rest is to wait in line, pay and pick up the product. No help, no good treatment. I really hope other dispensaries open soon, this is outrageous how much money these two are making because there is no competition.
——————————— Update: The store Manager called me on my phone a few hours after I left the review to address the review and gave me a 100$ store credit. I appreciate the effort but I will leave the review as it is. When I went to the store to redeem the credit I was helped by a different store manager that didn’t seem to care at all. I think that Andrew is really trying to get this place going but the other employees are not helping at all. The other reason I am leaving a bad review is because even if the store manager is trying to provide good service, that does not erase the fact that Rise has been taking advantage of the situation by selling their low quality product overpriced. 4 years since they entered the scene and they only have distillate vapes with one or two live rosin options. Distillate vapes are disgusting and the worst you can imagine. The carts get clogged and the disposables are just a complete garbage. So, there you have it, my review stays...
Read moreTo the fine people at Rise,
I need you to stop what you’re doing, take a deep breath, and fully absorb what I’m about to say because it is absolutely crucial that you understand the magnitude of Brittany’s greatness. She ran a absolute marathon with me and it deserves some recognition because I am still flabbergasted at how fantastic she was this evening!
Brittany is, without a doubt, one of the strongest backbones of your entire amazing legendary and always sunshiny collection of amazing gems you have at this location and with such amazing energy from your customer service team, it’s no surprise I met the queen of patience this evening, and an absolute legend of the highest order. This woman worked with me for almost an hour—and not just with a forced smile or that half-hearted ‘I’d rather be anywhere else’ energy you get from some folks. No. Brittany was kind, patient, engaged, and genuinely there to help me. And let me be clear: Rise closed at 7:00 PM—but Brittany? She was still with me at 7:40 PM, making sure everything was handled, never once making me feel rushed, and doing it all with the grace of an angel and the energy of a rockstar And as if that wasn’t enough, Brittany isn’t just talented—she is stunning. She’s so pretty that hot girls think she’s hot, hot boys think she’s hot, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if plants grew faster in her presence just to get a better look. That’s the kind of radiant energy she gives off.
So let’s get to the important part—this woman needs a raise. Not just a regular raise. A big-ass, sky-high, ‘let’s actually show our appreciation’ type of raise. Because employees like Brittany? They don’t come around often. And when they do, you hold onto them like your business depends on it—because trust me, it does. Give Brittany her flowers (and by flowers, I mean a fat ass m’f paycheck and some serious recognition). She’s a star, and Rise is lucky as hell to have her! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sincerely, A Devoted and Eternally Grateful...
