I got there at 9. Doors were locked. Initially I was going to stay in my car or go to my God mother's up the street. I don't live in Brookshire so I got there pretty early. My bad. The lady who opened the door was super sweet. However , the other two librarians are rude. And very loud. I could hear y'all talking about me being the first customer. Was it really that deep? I wasn't gonna go in that early but some weird ass man was staring at me across the street. I can see if I kept going up to the front bothering y'all. But I was just sitting at the computer minding my business and being cute per usual :-). I'm use to women being ugly towards me . It really does be your own people. That's the coldest part. I'm gonna stay in my neck of the woods from now on other than visiting my god mother. Definitely sad cause we were all friendly at first....
Read moreLove this humble library, it’s cozy and nice. The only thing I would appreciate is for people to have some common sense of what a library should be like- quiet. People are talking on the phone and chatting like this is the wet market, very distracting. Recorded “video” is just the audio of someone talking on the phone, which has been going on since I walked in, but thank God the staff gently reminded the patron of his obstructing loud volume. If you need to talk and be engaged in a conversation, go to a coffee shop or a diner nearby, or the fort bend library has some meeting rooms where people can utilize. Respect...
Read moreThis is a great small town local library. Staff is really nice, super helpful. Kid friendly, they are doing a reading / reward program for kids over the summer and doing special events every Friday at 1pm for kids as well. Several computers available if you need them. You can also get black-and-white copies done for $.10 each, you can buy bottled drinks from the checkout counter for $1.00 and some treats for the kids.
